Farmers in Rohtak deal with locusts by spraying pesticides

Swarm of locusts attacked in Pilana and Sanghera villages of Rohtak on July 28.

The farmers foiled the attack by spraying pesticides.

Rohtak Deputy Commissioner, RC Verma said, "Last night locusts attacked 2 villages but timely action by farmers and administration saved the crops.

Time to time, awareness drives are also being carried out to make villagers aware about the guidelines issued by the agricultural department.

They have been told to make noises to foil them."
