Rajasthan Speaker's video with CM's son goes viral, BJP demands his resignation
The BJP is gunning for the resignation of the Rajasthan Speaker after a video of him discussing the political situation in the state went viral.
In the video, which cannot be independently verified by Hindustan Times, the Speaker is seen telling CM Gehlot's son Vaibhav that if 30 MLAs had left from the camp, the situation could have been serious.
Sachin Pilot, who has rebelled against the Gehlot government, had initially claimed that he enjoys the support of 30 Congress MLAs.
Later the Speaker had sent disqualification notices to Pilot and his 18 loyalist MLAs.
BJP state chief Satish Poonia said that the video proves beyond doubt that the Speaker is supposed to be impartial but the video shows that he is leaning towards the Congress government.
The video comes a day after the Speaker approached the Supreme Court against the Rajasthan High Court order which agreed to examine the constitutional validity of a provision in the anti-defection law and ordered status quo in the disqualification proceedings against Pilot and his loyalists.
Congress MLA from Tonk, Sachin Pilot reacted on Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman's 'Doomsday man for India' statement on Rahul Gandhi. Terming Gandhi's Rajasthan visit as success, he said that Rahul talked about principals and security of the nation and the Centre is afraid of him as it doesn't has the answers. On Friday Sitharaman attacked the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha, she slammed Gandhi by calling him 'Doomsday man for India'.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on February 13 visited 'Veer Tejaji Maharaj Mandir' in Rajasthan's Ajmer. He offered prayers at the temple. Chief Minister of state, Ashok Gehlot and party leader Sachin Pilot were also present. Rahul is on a two-day visit to Rajasthan.

Rajasthan Governor Kalraj Mishra met ambassador of Denmark to India Freddy Svane. Guv Mishra met him at Raj Bhavan in Rajasthan's Jaipur on March 06. Freddy Svane also met CM Ashok Gehlot. According to the information of Chief Minister's Office, A Center of Excellence in dairy sector will soon be set up in Rajasthan with the help of Denmark. Freddy Svane is currently the Ambassador at Royal Danish Embassy in New Delhi.
While speaking to media in Chennai on March 08, General Secretary of CPI (M) in Tamil Nadu state, Balakrishnan spoke on seat sharing ahead of the assembly polls in Tamil Nadu. Balakrishnan said, "CPI (M) has forged an alliance with DMK and has been allocated six seats for the Assembly elections. We will work on all the 234 seats to defeat the AIADMK-BJP alliance."
