Hyderabad Sutikaari artist makes Big B's portrait, wishes him speedy recovery
A Hyderabad-based Sutikaari artist made a portrait of Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan hoping for his speedy recovery from coronavirus.
According to artist Gyaneshwar Kamblekar, Sutikaari means making art with a cloth without using colours and brushes.
Kamblekar told ANI, "Sutikaari art can be used for portrait and abstract art.
I have made portraits of famous personalities including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and film stars including my favourite film star Amitabh Bachchan." "When Amitabh Bachchan was hospitalised, I prayed for his good health and decided to make a portrait of him.
I will present him my art after he gets discharged from hospital.
I pray that he gets well soon," he further added.
Kamblekar has been working on this art form for the past seven years.
Big B was admitted to the Mumbai hospital on July 11 after testing positive for coronavirus.

Former India World Cup-winning captain Kapil Dev greeted fans on the occasion of Diwali. Sharing a video on Twitter, the former India cricketer wished for everybody's happiness. Dev, who underwent angioplasty last month, said he's healthy and his heart is operating well. Dev was admitted to a hospital on October 23 after he complained of chest pain. The former India skipper then underwent an angioplasty and was discharged on October 25. Earlier, veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan shared a throwback post to wish fans on Diwali. The photo showed him celebrating the festival with wife Jaya during their younger days. The couple could be seen enjoying the festival with some sparklers. The Bachchan family has reportedly decided to cancel their annual Diwali party this year. The family, otherwise, is known for their lavish Diwali parties.

Polling for Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is underway. Hyderabadis went to polling booth on Dec 01 to cast their votes. Major parties who are competing in GHMC elections are Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Congress, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM). Border Security Force (BSF) celebrated its 56th Raising Day on Tuesday, December 1. Organised at Delhi's Chhawla Camp, event was attended by BSF DG Rakesh Asthana. Asthana paid tributes to BSF personnel who lost their lives in the line of duty. A parade by BSF personnel also took place during the event to mark the occasion. MoS Nityanand Rai, who was the chief guest of the event, felicitated the BSF personnel. Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to Twitter and wished all BSF personnel on the occasion. Amid 'Delhi Chalo' protest by farmers of Punjab and Uttar Pradesh, a meeting has been held at the residence of national president of Bharatiya Janata Party, Jagat Prakash Nadda. Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmer Welfare Narendra Singh Tomar, Railway Minister Piyush Goyal arrived at Nadda's residence to for the meeting to come with a solution to end the massive protest. Farmers are protesting at Delhi borders against the Centre's three farm laws. They rejected conditional talks with the government but are ready for unconditional talks. Earlier in the day, farmers alleged that the Centre has invited only 32 groups of farmers for talks but there are over 500 groups. They demanded to call all the farmer groups.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath rang the bell at BSE for the listing of bonds of Lucknow Municipal Corporation in Mumbai on December 02. "In COVID times, Lucknow Municipal Corporation will progress towards achieving the 'Aatmanirbhar' goal with the listing of municipal bonds worth Rs 200 crore. Eight people were killed after a truck overloaded with sand toppled over and fell on a car. The incident was reported on Wednesday in Uttar Pradesh's Kaushambi district. The accident occurred at Deviganj intersection under Kadhadham Kotwali police station. Police said that two people sustained injuries and were undergoing treatment at a local hospital. Police added that the victims were returning to Shahjadpur after attending a wedding in Deviganj. Police further said that the deceased included six women and two children. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased. He directed officials to provide all possible relief to them and survivors.

Farmers’ protest against the centre’s farm bills have now entered the 7th day. The protest at the Delhi-Uttar Pradesh border led to the closure of a key route connecting the national capital with the state. Two more border points connecting the national capital with Gurgaon and Jhajjar-Bahadurgarh were also closed as precautionary measures. Farmers maintained that would continue their protests for as long as it takes. Talks between three Union ministers and farmer groups ended in a stalemate on Tuesday evening after they rejected the government's suggestion of a new committee to look into the issues. Meanwhile, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi lashed out at the Modi government over the protests by farmers against the new laws. ‘They said farmers' income will double. The Union government claimed that it never spoke of vaccinating the entire Indian population. Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan made the comment while addressing a press briefing on the Covid-19 pandemic. Indian Council of Medical Research Director-General Balram Bhargava elaborated on the statement. Protesting farmers stationed at the Ghazipur-Ghaziabad border (Delhi-Uttar Pradesh) were served 'Langar' on December 02. The farmers are protesting against the three farm laws passed by the Centre. Sea of farmers from neighbouring states, mainly from Punjab, have camped in and around the national capital as part of their 'Delhi Chalo' protest to demonstrate against the newly enacted agricultural laws, which they said will leave them at the mercy of big corporates. Multiple talks between the centre and the protesting farmers have so far remained inconclusive with another round of discussion set to take place on December 03. The protesting farmers have repeatedly said they will not end their protest until the centre rolls back what they said are "black laws" for them.
