'Unschool', a startup is a brainchild of the two youth in Hyderabad. These youth started 'unschool' intended to bring a change in teaching and learning methods and to bridge gap between academia and industry. The start-up aims to provide an experiential learning on an online ecosystem by providing the learners with projects based on the percentage of course completed by the learner and then gets certified after completion of 80% of the named course. The learners are also provided with pool of opportunities in their field of interest. Till now, 'unschool' has earned a student count of 25,000+ over the last 15 months and aims to reach as many students as possible, say the co-founders.
Heavy rainfall lashed several parts of Karnataka on September 20. State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre has issued alert of very heavy to extremely heavy rainfall over coasts and parts of Malnad regions of Karwar. The Indian Meteorological Department has also issued an alert to stop all fishing activities near the coast. Incessant rainfall led to water logging in several low lying districts of Karnataka.
Rescue operations are underway by State Disaster Relief Force in Karnataka on September 20, following heavy rainfall in the region. SDRF along with local youth rescued people in low-lying areas of Udupi. Heavy rainfall led to severe water logging in several villages. According to Indian Meteorological Department heavy rainfall is likely expected in coastal Karnataka on September 21. Food and shelter were provided to the rescued people.
