Festivities for the 'bhoomi pujan' or foundation stone laying ceremony of Ram Temple in Ayodhya underway.
The city has been decked up for the event and security has been increased.
The foundation stone of the temple will be laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has a tight schedule of almost three hours in Ayodhya.
After the "bhoomi pujan" or ground-breaking ceremony featuring PM Modi, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat apart from 175 spiritual leaders, the construction will begin.
