Lebanon minister resigns in wake of deadly Beirut blast

Lebanon’s information minister Manal Abdel Samad has resigned as the countrygrapples with the aftermath of the devastating blast that ripped through thecapital and raised public anger to new levels.

The resignation comes as angeris mounting against the ruling elite, blamed for the chronic mismanagement andcorruption that is believed to be behind the explosion in a Beirut Portwarehouse.
