Workers of Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) on September 08 held a protest march over killing of one of their workers hacked to death in Kannur district. They raised voice against law and order situation of the state. The deceased was a native of Kannavam in Kannur.

The police resorted to force after the party workers started marched towards office of Kozhikode Police Chief. Injured persons have been shifted to hospital. Former Maharashtra Chief Minister and BJP's Bihar Polls in-charge Devendra Fadnavis on September 25 said that the people of the state have faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi and also in Nitish Kumar governance, which has worked for the benefit of the people. "For the 1st time such a large exercise is to be held in world during COVID. People of Bihar have faith in Modi ji, also govt under Nitish Kumar ji and Sushil Modi ji has worked for people. It'll be re-elected," said Fadnavis.
A 33-year-old woman patient allegedly went missing from COVID-19 jumbo hospital in Maharashtra's Pune. Patient's kin staged protest against hospital authorities. Her mother said, "My daughter has been missing since August 29.The hospital authorities say she was never admitted to the hospital. I have lodged police complaint."
In a conversation with Hindustan Times' national political editor, Sunetra Choudhury, Directorate general of civil aviation (DGCA) chief Arun Kumar said that the tabletop runway at Calicut Airport was long enough for the aircraft, however, a late touchdown may have caused the plane to overshoot the runway. On August 7, an Air India Express plane overshot the runway and fell into a valley where the aircraft split into two pieces. At least 18 people, including two pilots, were killed in the accident. There were 190 people onboard the Vande Bharat flight which was bringing back Indians stranded in Dubai due to Covid-19 pandemic.

Mortal remains of pilot-in-command Deepak Vasanth Sathe reached Mumbai on Sunday afternoon. Mortal remains were kept at the Air India facility near the Terminal 2 of the Chhatrapati Shivaji international airport for some time. Deepak Sathe's wife Sushma and their son were present. Body of the deceased was brought to Mumbai from Kochi. Pilots, crew and ground staff of Air India paid tributes to the late captain. Sathe lost his life with 17 others in Kozhikode plane crash. Mortal remains of co-pilot Akhilesh Kumar were cremated on Sunday. Around 200 Air India Express employees paid tribute to the fallen co-pilot in Delhi. Kumar's mortal remains were taken to his native place in Uttar Pradesh's Mathura. An Air India Express plane overshot the runway on August 7.
