BJP chief JP Nadda lashed out at the Mamata Banerjee government in West Bengal and accused it of being anti-Hindu. Speaking at the party’s West Bengal state executive meeting, Nadda said that Trinamool Congress government lifted the lockdown for Bakrid but imposed it again on the day of the Ram Temple ‘bhoomi poojan’ on 5th August. Nadda questioned the need for a lockdown on August 5th and alleged that it was done to prevent people from being part of the occasion at the local level. Nadda further said that this is politics of appeasement and added that it shows the anti-Hindu mindset of the TMC government in the state. The BJP president said that the Mamata Banerjee government’s anti-Hindu stance needs to be exposed in front of the people of the state. He said that the BJP had been making constant strides in terms of vote percentage in the state and urged people to throw away the Trinamool government in the state and bring the BJP to power. A team of the BMC reached Kangana Ranaut’s residence this morning and razed the ‘illegal structure’ that was allegedly built with approval of the civic body. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday held a meeting with several leading members of film fraternity. The virtual meeting was over the UP CM's proposal of a new film city in the state. In his address, CM Yogi stressed on what makes the state the 'cultural centre' of the country. He pointed out that UP shares borders with seven states and a neighbouring country (Nepal). CM Yogi added that the new film city will come up near the site of the historical city of Hastinapur. Singers Udit Narayan, Kailash Kher, Anup Jalota were present at the meeting. Several other dignitaries including Anupam Kher, Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri took part virtually in the meeting. The film city was proposed by Yogi last week and 1000 acres of land have been identified for the project. The film city is likely to come up in the state's Gautam Buddh Nagar district. Incidentally, the district already boasts of a film city, located at Sector 16 A in Noida.

Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra has apologised for his ‘I don’t wear mask’ remark. Mishra said that his statement was against the government’s guidelines and also against what Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been advocating. Mishra also urged people to follow all Covid-19 guidelines. It is mandatory to wear a face cover in public places, according to the government's guidelines on the coronavirus. ‘My statement on not wearing a mask appears to be a violation of law. It wasn't in line with the sentiment of the Prime Minister. I accept my mistake and express regret. I'll wear a mask. I also appeal to everyone to wear masks and observe social distancing.’ In Indore, people are even penalized Rupees 200 for not wearing masks. The Congress had also attacked the state Home Minister on his remark. Madhya Pradesh has registered over 1.13 lakh Covid cases so far and the death toll stands at 2,077. A man and his car were swept away by flash flood in Uttar Pradesh. The scary incident took place in Uttar Pradesh's Mathura. According to locals, the man is a police inspector and had come to drop a girl. The locals' initial attempt at rescuing the man didn't help. Dr. Kafeel Khan lashed out at the Uttar Pradesh government after he was released from the Mathura jail following the Allahabad High Court order. Kafeel Khan, who has been in jail since his arrest in January, said that the Uttar Pradesh government had filed a false case against him and thanked the judiciary for mentioning this in their order. Kafeel Khan said that for the first 5 days, he was not even given any food or water in jail and took a jibe at STF by thanking them for not killing him in an encounter when he was being brought to UP from Mumbai. The doctor, who first hit the headlines during the BRD hospital tragedy, had been granted bail in February, but the state government imposed NSA thereby blocking his release. The Allahabad High Court on Tuesday, called his detention under NSA illegal and ordered his immediate release. A major step has been taken in the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. The Ayodhya Development Authority has approved the map of the proposed Ram Temple. The Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra had submitted the layout of the Ram temple to Ayodhya Development Authority for approval. An official of the Ayodhya Development Authority said that permission had been taken from all concerned departments following which an approval was given. PM Modi had laid the foundation stone of the Ram Temple and performed bhoomi poojan on 5th of August in Ayodhya. RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat and a few other dignitaries were also present on the occasion. The Ram Temple Trust has said that the temple will be designed to be able to withstand earthquakes, storms and other natural calamities. India’s traditional construction styles will be adhered to in construction of the temple. In February this year, Prime Minister Modi announced the constitution of Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra, to oversee the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya. Four people died and nine were injured in a collision at NH 28 highway in Ayodhya. Two injured have been refereed to Lucknow for primary treatment while the remaining have been admitted in the district hospital. The incident took place at around 5 am on September 20. A police official said, "9 people were injured after a collision between a tempo and a truck. The injured were taken to the hospital where 4 of them were declared brought dead. Investigation is underway."
