After former chief minister Siddaramaiah refused for donation of Ram Temple, Karnataka Minister KS Eshwarappa said 'one Siddaramaiah is enough to destroy Congress party.' "One Siddaramaiah is enough to destroy Congress party. Similarly, HD Kumaraswamy is destroying his party. Even the poor are giving Rs 10 each (for Ram temple) out of devotion. Siddaramaiah says that it's disputed land, so he won't contribute," said Karnataka Minister KS Eshwarappa. He added, "PFI tells people to not contribute (for Ram Temple) as it's disputed land, Siddaramaiah says the same. They have the same opinion. There is no difference between Siddaramaiah and PFI, they are one."

Former Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah on February 23 visited the incident site where a quarry blast took lives of six people. He reviewed the site and talked to the authorities regarding the incident. As many as six people lost their lives and one got injured in the Chikkaballapur quarry blast. The incident happened due to large amount of explosives. A high-level investigation is underway and action will be taken against the guilty.
Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa has lashed out at his Maharashtra counterpart Uddhav Thackeray over his comments on the border issue. The Karnataka CM said that these statements are only meant to create unnecessary problems and added that they would not give even an inch of land to Maharashtra. Prime Minister Narendra Modi suggested expansion of county's agriculture sector in the global market for processed food. "We need to increase clusters of Agro-industries so that villagers get employment in connection with farming," said PM Modi during a webinar on budget allocation for agriculture sector on March 01. Highlighting the need of the hour, PM Modi said that farmers of the country should get more and more options in the market.
Addressing a webinar on agricultural budget, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that India of 21st century needs post-harvest or food processing revolution and value addition amid increasing agriculture production. "It would have been good for the country had this been done 2-3 decades back," he added. Speaking on steps undertaken for agriculture in Budget 2021-22, PM Modi informed that government has increased the agriculture credit target to Rs 16.50 lakh crore while the Micro-irrigation fund has been doubled. "In the agriculture budget, animal husbandry, dairying and fisheries sectors have been given priority. Rural infrastructure fund raised to Rs 40,000 crore," he added.

A condominium in Sector 67 of Haryana's Gurugram has been declared a containment zone on February 27 amid coronavirus pandemic. Around 20 persons have been tested positive in Ireo Victory Valley. While speaking to media, the official of District Health Department, Jai Prakash said, "First, 3 cases were reported, after which testing camp was set up. Around 20 persons tested positive, so we declared it as containment zone. More tests being conducted."
A man was allegedly shot dead in broad daylight by unidentified person in Gurugram on February 22. The incident took place in the Feroz Gandhi colony area of the city. Several bullets were fired at the victim as bullet shells were recovered from site. The area was under surveillance as CCTV cameras were installed. Investigation is underway. SP Ashok Kumar said, "Victim's body has been sent to the hospital. Crime team is at the spot. Based on which, we'll investigate the matter."
As many as 278 BSF jawans were administered Covid-19 vaccine jabs in Gurugram. The BSF personnel were vaccinated at 95 BN BSF Campus in Gurugram's Bhondsi. Meanwhile, Bhopal administration inoculated Covid frontline workers in the city. These frontline workers included police personnel and other municipality workers. Two centres in the city were operational in the second round of Covid vaccination. Each centre received more than 150 volunteers on the first day of vaccination drive. Vaccination sessions were organised in 35 states and union territories on Monday. As of 6 pm February 8, around 60,35,660 beneficiaries were vaccinated across the nation. Beneficiaries included 54,12,270 healthcare workers and 6,23,390 frontline workers.
