64,553 new infections take India's COVID tally to 24.61 lakh

India on August 14 witnessed single-day spike of 64,553 cases and 1007 deaths in the last 24 hours.

The COVID-19 tally rose to 24,61,191 including 6,61,595 active cases, 17,51,556 discharged/migrated and 48,040 deaths.

The total number of COVID-19 samples tested till August 13 stands at 2,76,94,416.

Of these, 8,48,728 samples were tested yesterday.

The world is different from the one that was when we were last in council. We have set forth our priorities which include peace & security related issues."
