Firefighters battling wildfire flames get chased by a BULL

This is the moment firefighters tackling a massive bushfire fled in terror after they were confronted and chased - by a BULL.Firefighters were clearing the road so the fire engines could reach the blaze when the huge animal - named Maxwell by locals - appeared.Video footage shows the firefighters sprinting back to the safety of their fire engines as the longhorn bull chased them away.It happened while the firefighters tackled a blaze in Ventura, California, USA.A spokesman for Ventura County Fire Department said: "The firefighters were working in the area for a few days and they had seen Maxwell the Bull all around town. "When the firefighters were assigned the task of attacking this flank of the fire, the road was too narrow to make access to the fire's edge so crews of firefighters started cutting brush to widen the road. "To their surprise, Maxwell popped his head out of the bushes.

I don't know who was more surprised - Maxwell or the firefighters. "Maxwell chased the firefighters down the road and toward their fire engines. "He did not appear to be overly aggressive, just trotting toward the firefighters. "No firefighters or Maxwell were injured during this little encounter."The video was filmed on August 14. The fire department have been busy fighting the wildfire spanning more than 31,000 acres of the Angeles National Forest near Lake Hughes over the past few weeks. This blaze started on August 12 and has since destroyed several homes, 12 structures and 21 outbuildings, forcing dozens of people to flee their houses.
