Former Maharashtra Chief Minister and BJP's Bihar Polls in-charge Devendra Fadnavis on September 25 said that the people of the state have faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi and also in Nitish Kumar governance, which has worked for the benefit of the people. "For the 1st time such a large exercise is to be held in world during COVID. People of Bihar have faith in Modi ji, also govt under Nitish Kumar ji and Sushil Modi ji has worked for people. It'll be re-elected," said Fadnavis.
Congress leader Shaktisinh Gohil has accused the BJP led NDA of trying to politicize actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death for garnering votes in Bihar. Addressing the media, Gohil said that some were trying to gain political mileage out of the death of the actor and asserted that the first to demand a CBI probe in the case was a Congress party MLA. He said that those who think that people would forget issues like migrant crisis, lack of jobs, Covid mishandling are foolish. Gohil also added that some film star is summoned every single day to attempt to divert the attention of the people from the real issue. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday urged BJP workers to spread awareness on new farm bills. He slammed opposition and said they are misleading farmers. PM Modi was addressing BJP workers on Deendayal Upadhyaya's birth anniversary. "BJP workers should explain new farm bills to farmers in simple language. Opposition is trying to mislead farmers on new farm bills. It is the duty of every BJP worker to bust the lies regarding farm bills," he said. Nationwide protests are being held by farmers against the new farm bills. Opposition has claimed that the bills will harm the interest of farmers and benefit corporates. The Centre has, however, said that the proposed laws will be beneficial for farmers and help increase their income.

BJP MP Rupa Ganguly protested outside Parliament against the alleged malpractices in the industry. She held posters slamming the industry and said that the industry was pushing people towards drugs. Ganguly cited the allegations leveled by Payal Ghosh against Anurag Kashyap and said that these people make big statements but harass women. Former Bihar DGP Gupteshwar Pandey has hinted at taking the political plunge ahead of the assembly elections in Bihar later in the year. Lawyer of Sushant Singh Rajput's family, Vikas Singh stated that the family feels probe is being taken in a different direction with narcotics angle. "The family feels that the probe is being taken in a different direction. All attention is being diverted towards the drugs case. AIIMS doctor told me that Sushant's death was by strangulation," said Vikas Singh. "Today, we are helpless as we don't know which direction the case is going in. A group of people demonstrated in front of Chinese Embassy in Nepal's capital city Kathmandu on September 23 against recent land encroachment by China. Demonstrators held placards and banners reading 'Back off China' message after Nepali land was encroached to construct 9 infrastructures in Lapcha Bagar area of Nepal's Humla District. Chief District Officer Chiranjibi Giri have toured the area earlier on Wednesday where he was sent back by Chinese forces claiming it to be their land and building were constructed on their land. Soon after discovering about illegal construction of infrastructures in Nepali land by Chinese side, it has been reported that pillar number 11 in the area is now not traceable. The Chinese side has built buildings at a distance of around two kilometers from border in Lapcha Limi area of Humla District. China in the recent years has been carrying out construction works near the border with Nepal for several years. While the Government of Nepal has remained mum over the issue, the Chinese Mission in Nepal has issued a release claiming the building are built in their side instead asking Nepali authorities to verify the border points. "The buildings mentioned in the media have been verified to be on the Chinese side of the China-Nepal border. The Nepali side may make verification again," Chinese Embassy spokesperson said today. Area now encroached by China is also said to offer view of Kailash Mansarovar which lies in the Tiber Autonomous Region.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday held a meeting with several leading members of film fraternity. The virtual meeting was over the UP CM's proposal of a new film city in the state. In his address, CM Yogi stressed on what makes the state the 'cultural centre' of the country. He pointed out that UP shares borders with seven states and a neighbouring country (Nepal). CM Yogi added that the new film city will come up near the site of the historical city of Hastinapur. Singers Udit Narayan, Kailash Kher, Anup Jalota were present at the meeting. Several other dignitaries including Anupam Kher, Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri took part virtually in the meeting. The film city was proposed by Yogi last week and 1000 acres of land have been identified for the project. The film city is likely to come up in the state's Gautam Buddh Nagar district. Incidentally, the district already boasts of a film city, located at Sector 16 A in Noida.
