'Seva Saptah' is being celebrated by BJP to mark PM Modi’s birthday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi turns 70 on September 17, 2020. As a part of celebration, 70 NDMC workers were felicitated for their contribution to society. MoS Home Affairs, G Kishan Reddy & Nityanand Rai felicitated the workers in Delhi. In Tamil Nadu's Coimbatore, BJP workers offered a 70-kg laddoo at a temple. The 70-kg laddoo was later distributed among the locals in the area. 'Seva Saptah' or service week is also being observed from September 14 to 20. 'Seva Saptah' Abhiyan was launched by BJP National President JP Nadda on Monday. Party workers will take up social welfare activities as part of the campaign. Activities will include awareness drives on a host of issues. The 'service week' will have plasma drives & blood donation camps. As per a release, BJP will also organise 70 webinars to highlight PM's work and life. Watch the full video for more details.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal visited compost system near Bangla Sahib Gurudwara on August 08. He further planted a tree and later addressed the problems of the residents. People complained of foul smell to which Kejriwal assured that by August 20, the problem will be resolved.
Protests have broken out in many parts of Uttar Pradesh against the Hathras incident. Congress workers were lathi charged and detained by police when they were going to gherao the Chief Minister’s residence in Lucknow. Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi has demanded the Chief Minister’s resignation over the Hathras shocker. Meanwhile, the Chief Minister has set up a Special Investigation Team in the case and sought a report within seven days. PM Modi also called up the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and called for strict action against the guilty. Uttar Pradesh police is facing fire over the victim’s family members’ allegations that they forcefully cremated the victim’s body in the wee hours despite objections from the family members. The local administration has said that they had sought the family members’ permission before her cremation. The woman was raped in a village in Hathras by four men on September 14. After her condition deteriorated, she was referred to Delhi's Safdarjung hospital where she breathed her last on Tuesday. Watch the full video for all the details.

BJP National General Secretary Bhupender Yadav assured NDA's win under CM Nitish Kumar in the upcoming Bihar elections. Yadav said, "NDA 'gathbandhan' under the leadership of CM Nitish Kumar will fight the Bihar elections. BJP, JDU and Lok Janshakti Party, these three parties will fight the elections. Even Jitan Ram Majhi's party has extended support to JDU, they are also with us."
Rajya Sabha passed the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Amendment Bill, 2020 on September 23. Lok Sabha had passed the bill on September 21. Minister of State MHA Nityanand Rai in Rajya Sabha said that the bill is a law to ensure national and internal security. Rai said, "The Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Amendment Bill, 2020 is a law for the national and internal security. Its main motive is to ensure that foreign funds don't dominate the political and social discourse of India." MoS MHA further said, "Experience says that many organizations attempted to hide their identity and were successful in doing that. The reason behind this is that they had no fear because their identity wasn't established completely. So Aadhaar card has been brought in to establish their identity."
Minister of State for Home Affairs, Nityanand Rai after attending meeting at BJP office in Patna on September 11seemed confident and said the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will form government in Bihar with 220 seats. He said, "National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will form government in Bihar under the leadership of Nitish Kumar after winning 220 seats in the upcoming State Assembly elections. Earlier, BJP national president JP Nadda arrived in Patna on a two-day poll-related visit in the state. Assembly elections in Bihar are likely to be held by end of year.
