18-year-old rescued after falling into 30-foot-deep well in southern India

Firefighters in Tamil Nadu, India rescued an 18-year-old boy who fell into a 30-foot-deep well on Sunday (September 20).

The victim, identified as Satish, was sitting by the well in Padappai near Chennai, when he accidentally fell into it.

According to the reports, neighbours and family members tried their best to rescue the 18-year-old before alerting Tambaram fire department officials, who rushed to the spot and rescued the boy.

Footage shows the youth being pulled out of the well using thick ropes.
