Farm bills: SAD team meets President Kovind, requests him not to sign farm bills | Oneindia News

A delegation of Shiromani Akali Dal met President Ram Nath Kovid on Monday requesting him to not give his nod to the farm bills passed by the Rajya Sabha on Sunday.

Eight opposition members were suspended today from the Rajya Sabha for the rest of the session over the chaos that unfolded in the house during the passing of controversial farm bills on Sunday, but they refused to leave.

In a first,two women officers have been selected to join as Observers in the Indian Navy’s helicopter stream that would ultimately pave the way for women being posted in frontline warships.

The Supreme Court today said there is a need to balance the right to protest and blocking of roads and that there cannot a universal policy since the situation may vary from case-to-case.
