Members of Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) staged protest in Bengaluru against amendments to labour laws.
Earlier, while talking on the amendments, Information and Broadcasting Minister, Prakash Javadekar said, "Yesterday, three-bills passed (in Rajya Sabha) which gives salary security, public security and health security to labours.
By these bolls labours will get minimum wage, appointment letter, salary in a fixed time, same salary for men and women, free checkups and one-time allowance for migrant labour in one year.
New code also included the inclusion of new labours." He also slammed opposition for staying absent from Rajya Sabha while labour reforms bills were discussed.
The Rajya Sabha on September 23 passed three Labour Code Bills for the welfare and protection of the workers.
These bills were already passed in Lok Sabha on Tuesday (September 22).
Air Commandore Shailender Sood spoke on the Aero India show 2021. Sood said that the Aero India show will be the first global airshow organized amid the coronavirus pandemic. Sood added that this will show is being organized on a hybrid mode. Aero India will be held from February 3 to February 5 this year in Bengaluru. This will be the 13th edition of the aero show. All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) leader VK Sasikala, who was shifted from the Central Jail in Bengaluru to the Lady Curzon Hospital after complaining of fever, is in a stable condition, as informed by her nephew in Bengaluru. "I've reliable info that Sasikala's health is stable, doctors are looking after her. She is being monitored properly. She needs oxygen due to some secondary infections. Doctors still deciding on whether CT scans are required or not," said TTV Dhinakaran, nephew of Sasikala. The 63-year-old leader was a close associate of former Tamil Nadu chief minister, late Jayalalithaa. She has been serving a sentence in a disproportionate assets' case.
RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav and his mother Rabri Devi visited Ranchi's RIMS hospital to check on jailed party chief Lalu Yadav's health. Lalu Prasad Yadav, whose health condition deteriorated, has been diagnosed with lung infection. Prasad's elder daughter and Rajya Sabha MP Misa Bharti reached Ranchi and met her father. Senior party leaders from the state were also seen making a beeline at the hospital. "Our family wants better treatment for him. Doctors to analyse what treatments can be provided here after all test reports come. He has already undergone heart surgery earlier and only 25% of his kidney is functional. He has also been diagnosed with pneumonia and he is facing difficulty in breathing. His situation is serious," Tejashwi said. On Thursday, the jailed RJD chief's developed breathing trouble with congestion in his chest. The former Bihar chief minister has been convicted in the fodder scam cases.

The shopkeepers of Chandigarh are expecting rebate in taxes from the upcoming budget. The COVID-19 pandemic last year has halted the world as successive countrywide lockdowns to curb the virus impacted the shopkeepers. On January 19, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla said the first part of the budget session will start on January 29 and continue till February 15, and the second part of the session will be from March 8 to April 8. Members of Parliament have been requested to undergo an RT-PCR test against COVID-19 ahead of the budget session, he said. The union budget will be presented on February 1.
