At least four died, some others injured after fire broke out in a Covid hospital in Nagpur. Officials said incident occurred at 8.10 pm on Friday at the hospital located in Wadi area. Around 27 patients were reportedly shifted to other hospitals following the blaze. Four fire tenders were rushed to spot, it took about an hour to bring fire under control. “This is a 30-bed Covid hospital out of which 15 were ICU beds. Patients have been evacuated and shifted to different hospitals,” a police official said. Meanwhile, CM Uddhav Thackeray has ordered an inquiry into the fire incident. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah expressed grief over the Nagpur hospital fire.

Angry relatives of a woman, who died of Covid-19 in Nagpur, vandalised the hospital and even set the reception counter on fire. Hospital staffers quickly doused the fire to bring the situation under control. The police said that the woman’s husband initially fought with the doctor and then some of his friends and relatives started vandalising the hospital. A case has been registered and 10 of the 11 accused have been apprehended so far, said the police. The relatives of the deceased accused the hospital of negligence and said that the hospital authorities were demanding a payment of 1.5 lakh. Watch the full video for all the details.

The aim of the training centre is to create a sustainable skill development program which will facilitate employment of Kashmiri women in various industries and will also provide platform for employment to the women of Kashmir. These women came from various areas of Budgam to work in this centre and to make beautiful designs of Kashmiri Shawls and embroidery items and earn their livelihood. Army provides all the needed materials at the centre and also helps these women to sell the final products in markets.
On the occasion of International Women's Day, the District legal services Authority in Budgam organized 'Pink Marathon' on March 8. A large number of female students from various schools took part in the marathon. The run was organised under the theme "I run for myself". International Women's Day is observed on March 08 to celebrate women the rights and achievements of women. "I request all the parents to let their children study and not just be confined with home activities. Some parents are not sending children to school. So I want to request all the parents to educate them as the government also initiates 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao', which is very important", said a participant.
Three terrorists gunned down in encounter with security forces in J&K’s Shopian. Security forces engaged in an exchange of fire with terrorists in Hadipora area. Encounter broke out after security forces launched a cordon & search operation. One of the slain terrorists was newly recruited and security forces appealed him to surrender. “Police & security forces made sincere efforts to take surrender of newly recruited #terrorist. Parents also made appeals but other terrorists didn’t allow him to #surrender,” the police said in a tweet. The identity & group affiliation of the terrorists killed are yet to be ascertained.
