Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh on Friday requested Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) to investigate the drug connection of actor Vivek Oberoi and filmmaker Sandip Ssingh. "Bengaluru Police have come here to probe drug connection of Vivek Oberoi and filmmaker Sandip Ssingh. But NCB is not taking up the investigation. We will request NCB to investigate the drug connection and if they don't, Mumbai Police will do it," said Deshmukh. Meanwhile, the City Crime Branch (CCB), Bengaluru has served notice to actor Vivek Oberoi's wife Priyanka Alva Oberoi over links with brother Adithya Alva in connection with the Sandalwood drug case, the concerned officials said on Friday.

Investigation in drug connection within Bollywood continues. Actor Vivek Oberoi and filmmaker Sandip Ssingh's names have come up in the case. Bollywood actor Rhea Chakraborty was seen at Santacruz police station on Thursday. The actor, who is out on bail, was marking her presence at the police station. The actor was granted bail by the Bombay High Court on Wednesday. Rhea has to mark her presence every day for 10 days at the nearest police station between 11 am and 5 pm. The actor was arrested in a drug-related case in connection with Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide. Rhea was released after 28 days after she was arrested by Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). A case of fraud in MGNREGA (Mahatma Gandhi Employment Guarantee Act) has come to light from Madhya Pradesh. A few job cards, issued to workers employed under MGNREGA scheme, in Piparkheda Naka Panchayat of Khargone, were allegedly found to have photos and details of actresses on them including Deepika Padukone. Payments for a few days in the months of June and July were made on the same cards. Investigation has begun in the matter. "Whoever found guilty will be punished," said CEO District Panchayat, Gaurav Banel.

Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut hit out at Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, calling him “petty person”. Bollywood actor Rakul Preet Singh was interrogated by NCB on Friday. The actor was questioned in drug case related to Sushant Singh’s death. Rakul Preet Singh was questioned for over four hours by the probe agency. NCB DG M Ashok Jain said Rakul Preet’s statement will be analysed. "Her statement will be analysed and produced before the court," Jain said. Rakul Preet was among the four actors summoned by NCB for questioning. Sara Ali khan, Deepika Padukone, Shraddha Kapoor will also be questioned. Meanwhile, Sushant’s family feels probe has taken a different direction. "Family feels that investigation being taken in different direction. Looks like media attention is diverted towards stars called by NCB. Related to drugs, case can be filed only over casual consumers. Rhea could be charged with huge case if she was involved in a syndicate. By examining photos, AIIMS doctor had said it was death by strangulation. CBI normally issues press statement in such a huge case. CBI has not issued a press statement till now, it is very serious. CBI won’t reveal findings; family is also unable to do anything. NCB is calling big stars, I don’t think there will be a huge case," said Sushant's family lawyer Vikas Singh.

Bollywood celeb Rakul Preet Singh appeared before Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) officials for the interrogation in connection with drug case linked with Sushant Singh Rajput's death. NCB Director General M Ashok Jain said, "Rakul Preet Singh's statement was recorded by the SIT today. It will be analysed and produced before the court." Rakul had been summoned by NCB in drug probe. Earlier, Rakul's home in Mumbai has been raided by NCB officials on September 24.
The NCB questioned prominent stars like Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan and Shraddha Kapoor today. Deepika was at the NCB guesthouse for over 5 hours. Sara reportedly admitted being close to Sushant but denied consuming drugs. Apparently both Sara and Shraddha told officials that they has seen Sushant consume drugs.

Actor Kangana Ranaut on Friday said that "the government (is) trying to put me in jail" after a complaint was filed against the actor at a Mumbai court for "spreading hate and breaking the brotherhood, integrity of the country" through "provoking hate speeches" given by her. The actor took to Twitter and said, "I worship people like Savarkar, Neta Bose and Rani of Jhansi. Today the government trying to put me in jail that makes me feel confident of my choices, waiting to be in jail soon n go through same miseries my idols were subjected to, it will give a meaning to my life, Jai Hind." The complainant, a Mumbai based lawyer, advocate Ali Kaashif Khan Deshmukh, has accused Ranaut of attacking not just the Maharashtra Police, and government in connection with the death case of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, but of also "promoting enmity amongst our country people for her political gain". Following the post on the micro-blogging site, the 'Queen' actor posted another tweet in which she tagged Aamir Khan. "As Rani Laxmibai's fort was broken, my house was demolished, just as Savarkar Ji was put in jail for rebellion, all efforts are being made to send me to jail too, can some one ask from the Intolerance Gang how much they have suffered in this intolerant [email protected]_khan,"
