Nature lover plants saplings after freedom fighters name at Gaya's Brahmayoni Hill

A 54-year-old man has planted around 1 lakh saplings at Brahmayoni Hill in Bihar's Gaya.

Dileep Kumar has been doing plantation since 1982.

He has named the trees after freedom fighters and slain soldiers.

Nature and environment lover Dileep plants new saplings every day in the hilly area.

Speaking to ANI, Dileep Kumar Sikandar said, "I have been doing this since 1982.

Every day, I come here to plant new saplings and tend to the trees.

I have named the trees after freedom fighters and martyrs." "During my childhood days, I used to come here for picnic.

One day, I asked my father why the hill had no trees.

He quoted a proverb to say that hills were without trees in Gaya.

Then, I decided to turn it green," he added.
