India's coronavirus death toll has crossed 1 lakh on Friday while the global death toll has touched 1 million.

This means that India now accounts for 10% of the global death toll due to this contagion.

At the same time, India’s case fatality ratio (CFR), or the number of deaths out of total confirmed infections, has been declining for over three months now.
