Congress leader and MLA from Tonk Sachin Pilot on January 20 reacted on farm laws and farmers' protest at Delhi borders. He slammed Centre by meeting with farmers' leaders by saying that the government is trying to exhaust farmers. He emphasized that Congress is standing with farmers in their protest. Farmers of different states are protesting at Delhi borders against Centre's newly enacted farm laws.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and Congress leader Sachin Pilot on January 03 joined the protest organised by state Congress against farm laws at Shaheed Smarak in Jaipur. They showed solidarity with the protesting farmers agitating in and around the national capital for more than a month. Farmers, mainly from Haryana and Punjab, are sitting at Delhi borders against Centre's newly enacted farm laws.
Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot levelled serious charges at union ministers. Gehlot repeated his charge that BJP tried to make his government fall. Gehlot said that Congress MLAs felt 'ashamed' after meeting Amit Shah. Tension gripped the Congress government in Rajasthan earlier this year. Then-deputy CM Sachin Pilot had rebelled against Ashok Gehlot. Pilot & his group of around 18 MLAs had shifted to a resort in NCR. Indian Air Force Chief (IAF) Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria said that India too can be aggressive if China shows aggression. While addressing a press conference in Rajasthan’s Jodhpur on the sidelines of IAF and the French Air and Space Force's bilateral exercise 'Desert Knight-21', Bhadauria said, “If they (China) can be aggressive, so can we. We are fully prepared.” The IAF Chief also said that eight Rafale fighter jets have arrived in India and three will come by the end of the month. “Enough pilots are being trained. Parallel training is also being done in India. Numbers will be enough so that we can maintain cockpit to pilot ratio. By next year, the induction of the jets will conclude," he added. Exercise Desert Knight-21 is being held at Jodhpur Air Force Station from January 20 to January 24. The French are participating with Rafale, Airbus A-330 Multi-Role Tanker Transport (MRTT), A-400M Tactical Transport aircraft and approximately 175 personnel. The IAF aircrafts participating in the exercise include Mirage 2000, Su-30 MKI, Rafale, IL-78 Flight Refuelling Aircraft, AWACS and AEW&C aircraft. FIR lodged against director Prakash Jha for allegedly hurting SC-ST sentiments in Aashram. Rajasthan Police said the case has been registered at Luni police station in Jodhpur Rural. Jha, who has also produced the web series, allegedly promoted discrimination against SC-ST. Luni station house officer Sitaram Pawar said a probe into the allegations has begun. "The complaint against web series Aashram has been registered by DR Meghwa. Complainant said people of SC-ST communities have been insulted in the first episode. We have registered the case under relevant sections and further probe is underway," Pawar said. Earlier in December 2020, a Jodhpur court had issued a notice to Jha and actor Bobby Deol. The notice was issued in connection with another case filed against the web series. Aashram is a Hindi crime drama series which also stars Darshan Kumar, Anupriya Goenka.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated Rewari-Madar section of the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (WDFC) to the nation. He inaugurated the 306-km New Rewari-New Madar section of WDFC through video-conferencing. PM Modi also flagged off the world's first double-stack long-haul container train. The 1.5-km-long train is hauled by electric traction from New Ateli-New Kishangarh. "This project is being seen as a game changer for india in the 21st century. After 5-6 years of hard work, today a big portion of it (project) has become a reality," the prime minister said. Piyush Goyal, Ashok Gehlot, Manohar Lal Khattar, Kalraj Mishra were also present at the event. The New Rewari-New Madar section of the WDFC is situated in Haryana and Rajasthan.

A woman was killed by a neighbouring dog trainer in Rajasthan's Jaipur making it look like robbery and murder by some unknown miscreants. Speaking to media, ACP of Jaipur, Ajay Pal Lamba said, "Victim had argument with the accused, who was on walk with dog earlier in morning. In fit of rage, he killed her. Accused has a history of robbery."
