Watch: Police use tear-gas, lathi-charge BJP protesters in Kolkata

BJP workers clashed with the police in Kolkata as during their ‘Nabanna Chalo’ march.

Police had to resort to lathi-charge & also use tear-gas and water cannons to disperse the protesters.

BJP has launched the agitation in protest against the killings of its party members in the state.

BJP workers were seen in marching in huge numbers even as security around Kolkata has been tightened in view of the march.

Police have also deployed drones to keep an eye on the BJP protesters.

BJP workers started their march from the party office and are marching towards the state secretariat shouting anti-Mamata slogans.

The state government had denied permission for the march to the BJP citing the pandemic and Nabanna has also been shut for two for sanitization.

The BJP has been targeting the Mamata government in West Bengal and has also blamed the party for the killing of its workers in the state.

Last week a former councillor Manish Shukla had been shot dead.

BJP had sought a CBI probe and also demanded that the role of the police should also be investigated.
