The third phase of public-friendly programme 'Back to Village' began in JandK's Rajouri. Locals are participating in the programme and interacting with authorities and are expressing their suggestions and grievances to administration. Gram Rozgar Sevak, Mohd Javed Iqbal said, "We are going door-to-door to interact with locals." 'Back to Village' programme aims to solve grievances of people of Kashmir from grassroots.
Nashik’s Om Mahajan cycled from Kashmir to Kanyakumari in 8 days. Om covered a distance of 3,600 km on his bicycle in eight days, seven hours and 38 minutes. Om started his journey from Srinagar last week & finished on November 21. He set the record for the fastest bicycle journey across India. Om’s uncle, Mahendra Mahajan had held the record for the fastest bicycle ride from Srinagar to Kanyakumari which was recently broken by Indian Army's Lt Col Bharat Pannu. Om Mahajan, a resident of Nashik, has covered the distance between Kashmir and Kanyakumari by cycling for 3600 kilometres in record 8 days 7 hours and 38 minutes. The Nashik boy was met with roaring welcome upon his return, with many calling him 'Nashik ka Bhai'. Interestingly, Om Mahajan has brought the title home again as his uncle had also completed the vertical journey in record time, but then was later beaten by Colonel Bharat Pannu. "My uncle's record was broken by Colonel Bharat Pannu sahab. Now I have brought the title home again by doing it in 8 days 7 hours and 38 minutes," he told ANI.
The Mughal Road in Rajouri district opened for one-way traffic today morning after local authorities conducted snow clearing operations. The higher reaches of Pir Panjal range witnessed heavy snowfall over the last two days.

Heavy machinery such as JCB is being used to clear snow in the region. The Mughal Road connects south Kashmir's Shopian to Rajouri and Poonch districts. On Monday, isolated heavy falls were observed over Jammu and Kashmir. The maximum temperature in Jammu was at 20.3 degree Celsius, while the minimum temperature was at 12.6 degree Celsius.
