Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Member of Parliament (MP), slammed Congress government in Rajasthan over Dungarpur violence. He said Rajasthan government is running on auto pilot mode. "The situation is worsening in Rajasthan's Dungarpur from last 2 weeks. I urged Rajasthan's government to reaches out to the unemployed youth and fulfil their promises," Rajyavardhan Rathore added.
A political war of words broke out over the alleged rape and murder of the 6-year-old child of a migrant labourer in Punjab. An FIR has been registered against former deputy chief minister Sachin Pilot's media advisor Lokendra Singh in phone tapping case. Rajasthan Police lodged FIR on October 7, two months after the Congress leader's camp accused the Ashok Gehlot-led government of tapping phones of some of their MLAs. "FIR registered under sections 505 (2) and others. It registered for spreading rumours over alleged phone tapping of some MLAs and leaders," said DCP South, Jaipur.
A wreath laying ceremony was held in Srinagar for the two CRPF personnel martyred during a terror attack in Pamore on Monday. They had been injured during the terror attack and later succumbed to their injuries. Terrorists had opened fire at a road opening party of CRPF soldiers around 12:50 pm on Monday afternoon at Pampore bypass. Three other CRPF personnel including an assistant sub-inspector of the Central Reserve Police Force were also injured in the terror attack. Jammu & Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha condemned the terror attack and said that the sacrifice of the jawans will not go in vain. Other political leaders including Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also tweeted to pay tributes to the jawans. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) celebrated its victory in LAHDC-Leh polls on Oct 26. The party won the majority of the seats and has got 15 out of 26 seats while Congress got 9 seats. Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar was detained by police on October 26 after he reached Siddipet where searches were conducted at locations related to BJP's Dubbaka by-poll candidate Raghunandan Rao, and seized Rs 18.67 lakh. BJP workers alleged that police brought money in a bag to plant it at the location. Dubbaka by-poll is scheduled on November 03.
