Army reveals Pak's terror plan, days after Rajnath slammed China-Pak 'mission'

Indian Army revealed Pakistan's plan to push terrorists across LoC days after the govt's China-Pakistan joint 'mission' revelation.

Army said Intel suggests around 250 terrorists are waiting to infiltrate.

“As far as winter time is concerned - like infiltration attempts are made during summer, only slightly lower levels of attempts are seen in winter.

There is always an attempt to push terrorists across.

If terrorists have been given equipment to hide and brave out the cold, we have much better equipment.

Our capability to detect infiltrators is much better.

We are stationed at positions on the ground which can prevent infiltration,” said Maj Gen Amardeep Singh Aujla.

Pak's latest terror push comes amid tension between India, China at LAC.

Days earlier, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh had spoken on border tension.

Singh said Pakistan & China are creating border disputes under a 'mission'.

Singh also attacked the opposition, saying the people had also witnessed the 15-year tenure of the RJD government in the state and can well understand the difference between the "misrule" of that time and the good governance of the Nitish Kumar-led alliance government. Addressing a rally here in Bhagalpur district ahead of assembly polls beginning October 28, Singh said, "The alliance of the BJP and the JD(U) is as superhit as the opening pair of Sachin and Sehwag of the Indian cricket team."He said the alliance government has provided basic facilities of electricity, road, and water, which Bihar lacked for decades. India calls Pakistan 'safe havens for terror entities' ahead of FATF test

As global anti-terror watchdog FATF reviews Pakistan's performance in curbing terror-financing, India on Thursday said the neighbouring country continues to provide safe havens to terror entities as well as UN-designated terrorists. Spokesperson in the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) Anurag Srivastava said Pakistan has addressed only 21 out of 27 "action items" prescribed by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) to contain terror financing. The FATF began its three-day virtual plenary meeting on Wednesday in which it is reviewing Pakistan's performance in implementation of the action plan recommended by it to choke channels of funding to the terror groups operating from the country. "As is well known, Pakistan continues to provide safe havens to terrorist entities and individuals and has also not yet taken any action against several terrorist entities and individuals including those proscribed by the UNSC such as Masood Azhar, Dawood Ibrahim, Zakir-ur-Rahman Lakhvi etc," Srivastava added.
