Petrol and diesel prices in the national capital stood at Rs 91.53 and Rs 82.06 per litre, respectively on May 10. Petrol prices witnessed a minor surge across country and differ from state to state depending on the incidence of value-added tax. The price of petrol and diesel in Chennai was Rs 93.38 and Rs 86.96 per litre respectively and Rs 91.66 and Rs 84.90 per litre in Kolkata.

After a leaked audio of TMC's poll strategist Prashant Kishor surfaced out in which he said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee equally popular among the Bengal Assembly polls.
