Union Law and Justice Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on November17 slammed Congress by saying whenever we think of a kickback in a military deal of defence, we think of some Congress leaders."Whenever you think of a kickback in a military deal of defence, you think of some Congress leaders. There is no work without kickback. 'No deal without a deal, no contract without a cut' for Congress leaders," said Prasad.
BJP lashed out at the Congress over the Gupkar alliance in Kashmir. Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad demanded that the Congress party should clear its stand on the restoration of Article 370 in the valley. ‘I want to ask Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, do they want restoration of Article 370? Please tell the nation categorically and clearly does the Congress support annulment of pro-people laws?’ Prasad asked. The Minister also asked whether the Congress party supports Farooq Abdullah’s statement on seeking China’s help for restoration of Article 370 and Mehbooba Mufti’s remark on the Indian flag. Prasad said that the Congress will be asked these questions until they clear their stand. ‘Will congress support annulment of all pro-people & pro-poor laws passed by the Parliament following the abrogation of Article 370 in the valley?, Prasad asked. Speaking to ANI in Bihar's Patna on December 04, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav spoke on all-party meeting on COVID-19.Yadav said, "Despite being the single largest party of Bihar, RJD has not been invited for the all-party meeting to discuss the COVID-19 situation." "It shows that the meeting is just show-off," he added.
Bihar Police arrested 17 criminals and seized 14 country-made pistols and 1 quintal ganja from their possession on December 03. Case has been registered against them under relevant sections of IPC. The campaign for seizing illegal arms is in full swing in Bihar. Further probe is underway.
Jharkhand High Court deferred hearing of bail plea of RJD Chief Lalu Yadav in fodder scam case related to Dumka Treasury. The High Court will resume its hearing on December 11. Speaking on this, Lalu's lawyer Prabhat Kumar said, "The next date of the bail plea hearing is December 11. We have been instructed to bring records related to Lalu Prasad Ji's half-sentence from the lower court and get it verified before further arguments."
BJP MLA from Pirpainti, Lallan Kumar Paswan on November 26 handed over transcript of alleged phone call he received from jailed Lalu Yadav, to police. RJD chief allegedly asked him to not to vote in the election for State assembly Speaker's post. "We decided to lodge an FIR against Lalu Prasad under the Prevention of Corruption Act, based on his telephonic conversation with me, where he tried to tempt me and asked me to be absent from Bihar Assembly. This is how these people are playing with democracy," said MLA Paswan.
Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashwi Yadav held a protest at Patna's Gandhi Maidan against Centre's farm laws on December 05. RJD workers and leaders were also present at the protest. "We demand that the Centre repeals the black laws," Tejashwi told to ANI. Meanwhile, fifth round of talks between the central govt and farmers are scheduled to be held today in Delhi.

On the last phase of polling, an RJD supporter was shot dead by unidentified persons in Bihar's Purnea. The incident took place near a polling booth. According to victim's family members, some persons stabbed Beni Singh with knives, chased him and then shot him dead. Police have registered a case and investigating the matter as victim's family members are taking names of some people.
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has said that the Bihar Assembly polls will be his last election. Nitish Kumar announced this during a poll rally in Purnia district of Bihar. Nitish Kumar is leading the NDA in the ongoing polls in Bihar where his major challenger is the Tejashwi Yadav led RJD. Nitish has also been under constant fire from LJP, which quit the NDA in Bihar days ahead of the polls. Nitish Kumar was making a pitch for the JDU candidate Leshi Singh when he said ‘this is my last election, all’s well that ends well.’ The 69-year-old leader has ruled the state for nearly 15 years and served as a union minister quite a few times. Nitish Kumar, who is seeking a fourth straight term in office, urged the electors to vote the NDA to power yet again.
