Congress leader and General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra met the family members of the farmer who lost his life during the tractor rally on 26th January (Republic Day) in Delhi, at their residence in Uttar Pradesh's Rampur on February 04. While speaking to mediapersons, Priyanka said, "Family members of the deceased want judicial inquiry. We are with the farmers and their families. Out govt is yet to identify this movement as real struggle. There is no politics behind it. This is pain of our farmers."
A video of Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi cleaning her car’s windshield has gone viral. The video was taken while the Congress leader was en route Rampur, to meet family members of a farmer who had died during the tractor rally in Delhi on 26th January. Priyanka along with UP Congress chief Ajay Kumar Lallu are seen cleaning the windshield due to poor visibility. Speaking to ANI in the national capital, the president of Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee (UPCC), Ajay Kumar Lallu spoke on Priyanka Gandhi Rampur visit on February 04. Lallu said, "We have come to know that a farmer Navneet ji, who came from Canada and was participating in protest peacefully, was shot at by police and lost his life, during tractor rally." "Priyanka Gandhi will meet his family at his residence in Rampur today (February 04)," he added.
Uttar Pradesh Additional Chief Secretary (Health) Amit Mohan Prasad urged people of the state to stay more cautious as COVID-19 virus is still spreading in other states. He requested people to follow the hygiene protocols guided by the Health Ministry. "People feeling that the COVID-19 pandemic has ended and there is no danger now, it's a false feeling," he said.
