Nitish Kumar has thirst for power, he isn't a leader: Tejashwi Yadav

While addressing the press conference in Patna on January 10, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav spoke on Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's statement over National Democratic Alliance (NDA) alliance for Bihar polls. Yadav said, "It is tit for tat. If you look at Nitish Kumar ji's history, be it George Fernandes, Digvijaya Singh or our party- whom did he not betray?. He came to power through back door, he has thirst for power." "The destruction of Bihar by him is for everyone to see. Nitish Kumar is a bargainer, a blackmailer. He is not a leader. He is not for people, he is for himself," Yadav added.

‘Against alliance politics’: JDU on defection of 6 MLAs to BJP in Arunachal

JDU leader KC Tyagi lashed out at the BJP over the defection of 6 JDU MLAs to the BJP in Arunachal Pradesh. ‘We express anguish over six JD (U) MLAs from Arunachal Pradesh joining BJP. This is not a good sign for alliance politics,’ Tyagi said during a press conference. He also attacked the BJP over the Love Jihad law in several BJP ruled states and said that the JDU does not support such divisive laws. ‘An atmosphere of hatred and division is being created in the country in the name of 'love jihad'. Provisions of the Constitution and CrPC give freedom to two adults to choose life partners of their choice irrespective of one's religion or caste,’ the senior JDU leader said. Earlier Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar downplayed the exit of the MLAs and said that ‘they have gone their own way’. JDU is part of the NDA government in Centre and won Bihar election in a pre-poll alliance with the BJP. Watch the full video for all the details.

After SAD, Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP) quit NDA alliance on December 26 in protest against the new farm laws. RLP chief Hanuman Beniwal said the party is leaving NDA to support farmers. “The central government is firm on not rolling back the farm laws. Hence I have left the NDA in protest. These laws are anti-farmer. I have left NDA (National Democratic Alliance) but won't forge an alliance with Congress,” said Beniwal. RLP supporters joined protesting farmers on Jaipur-Delhi national highway. Farmers have been protesting over Centre’s three farm laws. RLP workers put up a separate pandal along the Rajasthan-Haryana border. Last week, RLP chief had resigned from three parliament committees to support farmers. Watch the full video for more.
