A Sikh 'jatha' from India will leave for Nankana Sahib in Pakistan on November 27. They will leave ahead of the auspicious occasion of Guru Nanak Dev's 551st birth anniversary. Sikh 'jatha' will leave from Punjab's Amritsar today. This year, the 551st birth anniversary of the Sikhism founder will be marked on November 30. Speaking to ANI, a 'jatha' member and devotee, Laxman Singh said, "We will pray to Guru Maharaj to end this COVID-19 pandemic, so that we can also visit Kartarpur Sahib freely."
With India's Covid immunisation drive launching on January 16, a sanitation worker became the first vaccine recipient at the country's premier AIIMS hospital in Delhi. Manish Kumar said that seeing other people have doubts about the inoculants, he approached his seniors to be the first one getting a jab. India's Covid-19 vaccination drive was launched by PM Modi on January 16, Saturday. Reactions from politicos across the country started pouring in soon after the launch. Indian Army Chief General MM Naravane lashed out at Pakistan over its continued support to terrorists. During the Army Day celebrations on January 15, Indian Army Chief General MM Naravane told that over 200 terrorists near LoC and in counter-terrorism operations in last year. "Around 300-400 terrorists are sitting in training camps near the border to infiltrate into the Indian territory. Number of ceasefire violations went up by 44 per cent last year, which shows the nefarious intentions of Pakistan.
