Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose's grandnephew and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Chandra Kumar Bose condemned West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's behaviour after she refused to speak when 'Jai Shree Ram' slogans were raised during the celebrations of 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose at Victoria Memorial in Kolkata on January 23. He said, "Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose stood for unity. He had people of all communities in Azad Hind Fauj. Whether you say 'Jai Hind' or 'Jai Sri Ram', I don't find difference. 'Jai Sri Ram' isn't a statement where one should react in allergic manner. So, I think the honourable Chief Minister (Mamata Banerjee) need not have reacted adversely to a slogan whether it's 'Jai Hind' or 'Jai Shree Ram'. This is not the day to do any politics. It is a day to celebrate, it is a day to pay homage to the soldiers and martyrs of Indian National Army."
Commenting on web series 'Tandav', which has invited a couple of controversies, Home Minister of Madhya Pradesh Narottam Mishra said makers would've been behind the bars, if they were not provided relief by the court. "When we react on an act then they say that we are creating chaos. Why do you do such acts that a reaction is needed? We will not tolerate such things at all. Court has provided them relief so they are safe otherwise they would have been behind bars," said Madhya Pradesh Home Minister.
Saif Ali Khan starrer 'Tandav' has spiked controversy across the country. Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra said that he condemns the way Zeeshan Ayyub, Saif Ali Khan and Ali Abbas Zafar reacted to religious sentiments. And he further said that MP government is thinking to ban it. "I condemn the way Zeeshan Ayyub, Saif Ali Khan and Ali Abbas Zafar reacted to our religious sentiments. MP government will register case, thinking of banning it. We'll request Centre for a policy to restrict web series that use vulgar language and attack religious sentiments," said Narottam Mishra on 'Tandav' controversy.
Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra said that Superintendent of Police, Collector and SDOP were immediately suspended related to Morena incident in which 20 people have died. He said, 'It is a sad and serious incident. CM had clarified that such incidents cannot be tolerated. SP, Collector and SDOP were immediately suspended. The local distillery will also be investigated.' The death toll in Madhya Pradesh spurious liquor tragedy has mounted to 20 on January 13. Several people from Manpur and Pahawali villages got hospitalized after falling sick due to consumption of poisonous liquor. Probe is underway and more details are awaited in this regard.
Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched 'Rozgar Utsav' under 'AatmaNirbhar Bharat Abhiyan' in Bhopal on January 20. CM Chouhan said, "During corona period, we had launched Rozgar Setu portal. So far, 1.44 lakh people have been employed in different sectors."
While addressing the press conference in Patna on January 10, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav spoke on Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's statement over National Democratic Alliance (NDA) alliance for Bihar polls. Yadav said, "It is tit for tat. If you look at Nitish Kumar ji's history, be it George Fernandes, Digvijaya Singh or our party- whom did he not betray?. He came to power through back door, he has thirst for power." "The destruction of Bihar by him is for everyone to see. Nitish Kumar is a bargainer, a blackmailer. He is not a leader. He is not for people, he is for himself," Yadav added.
Congress leader Digvijaya Singh said that India shouldn't be made an experiment lab. Singh said that people of India should not be made guinea pigs for vaccine trials. "Protocols can still be compromised during the pandemic. People of India should not be made guinea pigs. Haryana minister Anil Vij got vaccinated and later tested positive. Before human trials, animal trials are done to launch a vaccine. India cannot be an experiment lab for any vaccine," he said. Bharat Biotech, SII, and Pfizer recently asked for emergency use approval in India. At least eight different vaccine candidates are at different trial stages in India. PM Modi had recently held meeting and visited vaccine labs in the country. He had discussed Covid vaccination plan during an all-party meeting held earlier.

Delhi Police and protesting farmers have reached an agreement, and the unions will "peacefully" take out 'Kisan Gantantra Parade' on January 26, informed Swaraj India's president Yogendra Yadav. President of Swaraj India, Yogendra Yadav said, "Farmers will take out 'Kisan Gantantra Parade' on January 26. The barricades will be opened and we will enter Delhi. We (farmers and Delhi Police) have reached an agreement on the route, final details are to be worked out tonight...We will take out a historical and peaceful parade and it will have no effect on the Republic Day parade or the security arrangements."
Chief Election Commissioner of India Sunil Arora on January 22 said that ECI is committed to conduct the Assembly Elections in free, fair, ethical and safe manner while ensuring higher voter participation. "The term of the West Bengal assembly is due to expire on 30th May 2021," he said.
After the meeting with Election Commission of India, West Bengal's BJP president Dilip Ghosh said that the party has requested the commission to ensure that people get to vote without fear and also demanded the deployment of Central Forces in the state. "It is the duty of the Election Commission to ensure that people vote without fear. It is important the Central Forces are deployed here soon. We are certain that names of Rohingyas have been included to voter list in border areas, balance of voter list has also been disturbed, this should be looked into," said Dilip Ghosh
