As per the data released by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, India on November 13 reported single-day spike of 44,878 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours.
547 deaths in the same period, pushing the COVID-19 toll in the country to 1,28,688.
India's confirmed cases of coronavirus stand at 87,28,795 which include 4,84,547 active infections after a decrease of 4,747 in last 24 hours.
More than 81,15,580 people have recovered from the virus with 49,079 new discharges in last 24 hours.

More than 1,02,28,753 people have recovered from the virus with 17,411 new discharges in last 24 hours. According to Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), a total of 7,09,791 samples were tested on January 18. Cumulative samples tested for COVID-19 till January 18 are 18,78,02,827.

According to Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), a total of 5,48,168 samples were tested on January 17. Cumulative samples tested for COVID-19 till January 17 are 18,70,93,036.
At least 1,65,714 healthcare beneficiaries received COVID-19 jab on Saturday across India, marking it as a historic and biggest COVID-19 vaccination drive launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. About 16,755 total vaccinators involved across India during the COVID vaccination drive. There was no post adverse event reported after the vaccination was administered to the people. "Total vaccinators involved across India were 16,755. Total beneficiaries vaccinated across India--1,65,714. COVID19 vaccination drive was successful on Day 1. No case of post-vaccination hospitalisation reported so far," said Manohar Agnani, Additional Secretary of Union Health Ministry. "The Serum Institute of India (SII) produced COVISHIELD was supplied to all States and Union Territories (UT). Bharat Biotech's COVAXIN was supplied to 12 States. Total 3,351 sessions were held across the country with both the vaccines, said Health Ministry on COVID19 vaccine roll-out," he added. Watch the full video for more details.

On January 16, total COVID-19 tally of India reached to 1,05,42,841. The country reported 15,158 new COVID-19 cases in last 24 hours and active cases stands at 2,11,033. With new 16,977 discharges, total number reached to 1,01,79715. 175 deaths were reported in last 24 hours, taking cumulative toll to 1,52,093. According to ICMR, total number of samples tested up to 11th January is 18,57,65,491 and of these, 8,03,090 samples were tested yesterday.
