'Night curfew in 5 districts of MP from Nov 21,' announces CM Chouhan
As the COVID-19 cases are increasing in five districts of Madhya Pradesh, state Chief Minister on November 20 announced that night curfew will be imposed in Indore, Bhopal, Gwalior, Vidisha, and Ratlam between 10 pm to 6 am, starting from Nov 21.
He said, "Night curfew to be imposed between 10 pm to 6 am, starting from November 21 in Indore, Bhopal, Gwalior, Vidisha, and Ratlam districts.
People engaged in essential services and factory workers are exempted." The state has reported 1,363 new cases and 14 deaths on Thursday, according to the State Health Department.
Madhya Pradesh has so far reported a total of 1,88,018 cases of which 1,75,089 have recovered.
A total of 3,129 people have lost their lives due to the pandemic.
A 14-year-old girl was allegedly gangraped in Girwai area of Gwalior on January 13. One of the accused is victim's relative. A case has been registered under relevant sections of IPC against the perpetrators. Further investigations are underway.
At least 11 people have died after consuming suspected spurious liquor in Madhya Pradesh's Morena. Police said eight others have fallen ill and were referred to Gwalior for treatment. As per the preliminary reports, some villagers consumed a white-colored liquor. Police added that the autopsy reports will ascertain if the liquor was poisonous or not. State Home Minister Narottam Mishra said a police official has been suspended following the incident. "The incident of deaths caused by drinking poisonous liquor in morena is very sad. The in-charge of the police station concerned has been suspended. A separate team is also being sent to conduct the investigation. People who are responsible for the incident will not be spared," Mishra said.

Indore Police arrested two persons from the Khajrana area for allegedly smuggling tiger skin and turtles of special species. Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched 'Rozgar Utsav' under 'AatmaNirbhar Bharat Abhiyan' in Bhopal on January 20. CM Chouhan said, "During corona period, we had launched Rozgar Setu portal. So far, 1.44 lakh people have been employed in different sectors."
