WEB EXTRA: Elephant Rescued From Well

ELEPHANT RESCUE: Villagers in Dharmapuri, Tamil Nadu, India helped rescue an elephant from a well Friday (11/20).

Rescuers pumped water out of the well, then used excavators, trucks, and a crane to lift the animal out.

After 14 hours, the elephant was finally released into a nearby forest.
