Union Minister for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying Giriraj Singh on January 11 said that people should not be panicked as there is no sign that bird flu can infect humans. "There is a need of precautionary steps which states are taking. States administrations are taking step to close shops if needed," he said. Singh also urged not to spread rumors that might affect corn and poultry farmers. He emphasized that bird flu cannot infect humans from properly cooked chicken meals.
RJD's Tejashwi Yadav on January 16 targeted Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar over IndiGo manager's murder in Patna. He also said the state is becoming the crime capital of India. "Bihar is becoming the crime capital of the country, the number of incidents of crime is increasing here. Three days after Rupesh Kumar Singh, a manager with IndiGo airlines, was shot dead by unidentified bike-borne men in the Punaichak area of Patna, his family said the probe should be transferred from Bihar police to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Nandeshwar Singh, brother of the deceased said that despite Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's assurance of arresting the culprits within 48 hours, there have been no arrests.
Indore police arrested comedian Munawar Faruqui for allegedly hurting religious sentiments by making derogatory comments about Hindu deities. Faruqui was also accused of making disparaging statements about Union Home Minister Amit Shah and of allegedly mocking the kar sevaks who were killed in the Godhra massacre of 2002. The FIR was filed on the complaint of Eklavya Singh Gaur, the chief of Hindutva group Hind Rakshak Sangathan. Gaur is the son of Bharatiya Janata Party legislator Malini Gaur. A 11-foot long python weighing around 25 kg was rescued by the Forest Department with the help of JCB in Uttar Pradesh's Aligarh on January 15. Scores of people witnessed the rescue operation. The python was later released into the wilderness.

Both of them will build immunity and antibodies." "But the antibodies will not develop immediately after vaccination. Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar inaugurated air taxi services on Thursday. The air taxi service was launched from Chandigarh to Hisar under the UDAN scheme of the Central government. Khattar informed that air services would also start from Hisar to Dehradun in the second phase, while in the third phase two more routes will be added. "These air taxis will be four-seaters and have a speed limit of 250 km/hour. For the first time in the country, a small aircraft in the form of an air taxi is being used for services," the CM said. He added, "In the second phase, services for Hisar to Dehradun will be started on January 18. In the third phase, two more routes from Chandigarh to Dehradun and Hisar to Dharamshala will be added on January 23."

India's first air taxi services were inaugurated in Haryana on January 14. State Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today inaugurated the service at Chandigarh Airport. The services will start from Chandigarh to Hisar under UDAN scheme of Central Government. "For the first time in the country, a small aircraft in the form of air taxi is being used for services. In 2nd phase, services for Hisar to Dehradun will be started on January 18.
