Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday along with Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, led the protest to show solidarity with the farmers' agitation against the farm laws by gheraoing the Raj Niwas in the capital. They also met Congress party Member of Parliaments who were protesting against the three farm laws at Jantar Mantar. Bhupinder Singh Mann, National President of Bharatiya Kisan Union recused himself from a four-member committee appointed by the Supreme Court on the farm laws. Speaking on the matter, Rahul Gandhi said, "Have you ever heard about the word Maya? Everything is Maya, media-created Maya and this myth will soon end. Just wait and watch what will happen the day this Maya will end." Congress Party held protests across the country demanding a repeal of the farm laws brought by the Central government, against which farmer organisations have been protesting at the various borders of Delhi for 50 days now. Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra met party MPs, who are protesting against the three farm laws at Jantar Mantar on January 15. While speaking to mediapersons, Rahul said, "The three (farm) laws have been brought to finish the farmers. If we don't stop this now, it will continue to happen in other sectors too. Prime Minister Narendra Modi does not respect the farmers. The farmers will neither deter nor fear."
Sonia Gandhi's son-in-law and businessman Robert Vadra questioned in connection with a 'benami' assets case. Speaking on this, he said that "there has been no tax evasion and every question was answered clearly." "23,000 documents were taken away from my office. They have more information about me than I have in my office today. Every question they asked was answered clearly. There is no tax evasion," said Vadra after ED raids and questioning by Income-Tax dept officials.
A crocodile was rescued by wildlife team in Gujarat's Vadodara. 10-feet long crocodile was rescued from an area of Virod Village in Vadodara. The crocodile had injured leg and it was later handed over to the forest department.

However, the continuous rainfall in Delhi kept the minimum temperature at tolerable level of around 12 Degree Celsius. Water logging was also reported in some places due to the continuous downpour. According to IMD, thunderstorm with light to moderate intensity rain would occur over and adjoining areas of many places in Delhi and surrounding region. IMD predicted maximum temperature for the day at around 22 Degree Celsius.
After heavy rainfall in Haryana's Gurugram on January 03, water-logging was observed in some parts of the city. Pataudi road and some areas of Sector 10 received heavy rainfall on Sunday. IMD had also predicted wet spell over Northwest and adjoining Central India during Jan 03 to Jan 06, 2021 and abatement of cold wave and cold day conditions in Northwest India from January 03.
Cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and choreographer Dhanashree Verma tied the knot on Tuesday. The couple married in a Hindu ceremony at the Karma Lake resort in Gurugram. Pictures of the newlyweds surfaced on the internet soon after their wedding rituals. Earlier in August, Yuzvendra had shared pictures from their roka ceremony.
