Ahead Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections, Bharatiya Janata Party president Jagat Prakash Nadda held a massive roadshow from Nagole Chowrasta to Kothapet Chowrasta in Hyderabad on November 27.
The Plaster of Paris (POP) statue of Lord Ram has been installed at BJP headquarters in Lucknow on January 22. The statue was installed in the presence of BJP national president JP Nadda, CM Yogi Adityanath.
GHMC poll result threw up a hung house after counting of votes on Friday. No political party reached absolute majority mark of 76 in 150-seat corporation. Telangana’s ruling party TRS emerged as single largest party winning 55 seats. TRS had previously won 99 seats in 2016 GHMC elections. BJP put up a tremendous show, emerged single largest party in GHMC. BJP won 48 seats this year as compared to 4 seats in 2016 GHMC. MoS Home Affairs G Kishan Reddy expressed firm belief that the BJP will form government in Telangana in 2023. On results of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) polls, BJP leader said, "Hyderabad is mini Telangana. People showed support and gave blessings to BJP with 48 seats. People are against Asaduddin Owaisi. Neither Owaisi nor KCR nor anyone else can stop BJP from forming govt in 2023." On being asked about the possibility of AIMIM-TRS coalition for running Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, Reddy said, "Owaisi and KCR fought the elections together. They both eat 'biryani' together. KCR has planned this sitting at home."
After Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) emerged as the largest party with 55 seats in Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi on December 04 said that TRS represents the regional sentiment of Telangana.
While addressing at an event in Hyderabad on January 23, Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu said, "By freedom, Netaji didn't mean merely emancipation from political bondage, but also equal distribution of wealth, the abolition of caste barriers and social inequalities, destruction of communalism and religious intolerance." "You love and practice your religion but don't hate others," he added.
While addressing at an event in Hyderabad on January 23, Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu said, "Nationalism doesn't mean only saying 'Jai Hind' or singing 'Jana Gana Mana' or 'Vande Matram'. 'Jai Hind' means every Indian's 'Jai ho' which is possible when their needs are taken care of, they are fed properly, have clothing and don't face discrimination." "Nation doesn't mean geographical boundaries, everything in the nation, their welfare, is nationalism. Ours is a glorious civilization which embodies value of share and care. Our forefathers have given to us philosophy of 'world is one family'," he added.
Speaking to ANI in Hyderabad on January 23, the Health Medical and Family Welfare Minister of Telangana, Eatala Rajender spoke on COVID- 19 vaccination drive. Rajender said, "The COVID-19 vaccine is 99% safe and it is important to get vaccinated. I believe that everyone will come forward for it in coming days."

As the farmers’ protest against the Centre’s farm laws entered day 20, top ministers from the Modi government continue to claim that the farmers are being misled. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said that pictures of a man who was arrested from Naxal affected Gadchiroli, people who gave ‘anti-India’ speeches in Delhi were also seen during the protests. Gadkari said that these people have nothing to do with the farmers, yet their posters are seen. Meanwhile, MoS Home Affairs, G Kishan Reddy questioned why protests over the issue were being held in countries like US, Canada and the UK. He said, "Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose stood for unity. He had people of all communities in Azad Hind Fauj. Whether you say 'Jai Hind' or 'Jai Sri Ram', I don't find difference.
