RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav on January 21 informed that Mahagathbandhan will hold 'Kisan Jagruk Saptaah' (Farmers Awareness Week) to "educate" them about Centre's farm laws. The 'Kisan Jagruk Saptah' will be held for a week from 24th January to 30th January. "People, especially farmers of Bihar, will be made aware during the Saptah," he added. Yadav announced the information after a meeting of constituents of Mahagathbandhan today.
Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav on January 17 met the family of IndiGo airlines station manager Rupesh Singh who was shot dead outside his residence in the city on January 12. Tejashwi met the parents of Rupesh Singh in Chhapra. The RJD leader has continuously criticising Chief Minister Nitish Kumar over the law and order situation in wake of the IndiGo station manager's murder, and also asserted that Bihar is becoming the crime capital of the country. Tejashwi today also urged the CM with "folded hands" to control the crime rate in the state.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel accused BJP of maligning any sort of protests. After visiting the institute, he said, "Contractor's men were working on that floor (where the fire broke out) and when the fire brigade officials went there, they found five completely burnt bodies. 2 of them were from UP, 2 from Pune and 1 is from Bihar." "Fire brigade has done good work. As per my info, CM will also visit the site tomorrow. The place where COVID vaccine is manufactured was not affected. I was informed that preparation was going on at this building (site of fire) to make Rotavirus vaccine," he added. Fire had broken out at Manjri Plant of SII today afternoon and claimed five lives.
