After Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) emerged as the largest party with 55 seats in Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi on December 04 said that TRS represents the regional sentiment of Telangana.

Reacting to ISF's Abbas Siddiqui sharing stage with the Left and Congress during a rally in Kolkata on February 28, AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi on March 01 said that he will speak on his party's strategy in West Bengal when the time is right."Main akela hi chala tha janib-e-manzil magar, log saath aate gaye aur kaarvan banta gaya," he added. AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi has lashed out at the Trinamool Congress government in West Bengal for allegedly refusing his party permission for a public meeting. Owaisi said that while Trinamool MPs give speeches about freedom of speech and expression in Delhi, they donāt follow those ideals in West Bengal. āAmit Shah to hold a public rally. You allow BJP to hold public rallies. Congress and Left hold rallies. But not AIMIM. Why?ā Owaisi questioned. He also urged the election commission to transfer all officials in the area once the code of conduct comes into place as free and fair elections cannot be held till those officers are still in power in those regions. A nine-year-old girl from rural Andhra Pradesh has conquered Mount Kilimanjaro. Located in Tanzania, Mount Kilimanjaro is the African continent's highest peak. Ritwika Sree of Anantapur became the world's second youngest and Asia's youngest girl to scale Mount Kilimanjaro. She achieved the record accompanied by her father, who is also her guide. Ritwika's father is a cricket coach and sports coordinator. She was trained at the Rock Climbing School at Bhongir, Telangana and received level two training in Ladakh.

Director of Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, Prof Jagat Ram said the new Covid-19 strains detected in the country are highly transmissible. "New Covid-19 strains detected in India are highly transmissible. We should take all possible precautions to prevent the rise in cases,ā he said. The Centre on February 23 said two new Covid strains were found in Maharashtra, Kerala and Telangana. It, however, said there is no scientific evidence to suggest the new strains are linked to recent surge. The variants, namely N440K and E484K were detected in Maharashtra and Kerala.
