Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on December 05 took a fresh jibe at Amit Shah and said that Congress MLAs were ashamed of seeing him as Union Home Minister.
He also blamed BJP for allegedly trying to topple the state government.
"They (BJP) tried to make the government fall in Rajasthan.
After meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas and Steel, Dharmendra Pradhan our MLAs told me that they were ashamed to see Amit Shah as Home Minister.
There was a time when Sardar Patel was Home Minister and now it's him.
They (BJP) were giving assurance that they have made five different governments fall and this will be the sixth one.
BJP to hold protest from 6-14 March against Rajasthan government as Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has failed in state, said Party National General Secretary Arun Singh on February 23. "BJP president JP Nadda ji will visit Jaipur on March 2 and will address party workers here. Gehlot govt has failed in State, we will hold protest under leadership of State party president at mandal and tehsil level from 6-14 March against Rajasthan govt," said BJP General Secy.

Youth Congress' Delhi wing on March 2 staged protest outside Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas over the fuel price hike. The workers of Youth Congress demanded Centre Government to reduce the prices. Petrol price in Delhi stands at Rs 91.17 per litre while that of diesel is at Rs 81.47. In Mumbai, petrol currently costs Rs 97.57, while diesel is retailing at Rs 88.60. Recently, petrol price touched Rs 100 mark in some places of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.
Sliver, buried inside ground in a basement, was stolen from Rajasthan’s Jaipur. The robbery was reported from a doctor’s house in Jaipur on February 24. The silver was reportedly kept in three iron boxes, 6 feet beneath surface. The exact volume of stolen silver has not been revealed. Robbers used a vacant plot behind the doctor’s house to dig a tunnel. RS Beniwal, ACP, Vaishali Nagar (Jaipur) said, “We are not sure about the volume but a lot of silver was stolen. Amid a controversy over a cricket stadium in Gujarat being renamed after Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the government on Wednesday said the name change involves only the Motera stadium and the entire sports complex continues to be named after Sardar Patel. Asked about the allegations, Union Minister Prakash Javadekar, however, told reporters that only the Motera stadium has been renamed and the complex continues to be named after Vallabhbhai Patel. Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, who was present alongside Javadekar at the media briefing after a cabinet meeting, also took a swipe at the Congress leaders, asking whether party chief Sonia Gandhi or Rahul Gandhi have so far praised the world's tallest statue of Sardar Patel erected at Kevadiya in Gujarat. After emerging victorious in Gujarat municipal corporation and zila panchayat elections, Union Minister Prakash Javadekar held a press conference on March 03. Stating number comparison between results of 2015 and 2021 elections, Javadekar said that Congress has been completely wiped off. "Last week in Gujarat MCD elections over 6 seats, and BJP emerged victorious on all seats. But the results that came out yesterday for over 31 district panchayat, which basically includes voters who belong to villages and are farmers. Last time in 2015, Congress won 22 district panchayat seats and BJP was at 9. But this time, BJP has won all 31 seats and Congress has been wiped out completely. BJP has won 80% seats out of 979," said Prakash Javadekar.
The Aam Aadmi Party has bagged four of five seats in the Municipal Corporation bye-elections including Kalyanpuri, Rohini-C, Shalimar Bagh (North), and Trilokpuri. Congress won the Chauhan Banger ward. Aam Aadmi Party workers have been celebrating the party’s big win in the municipal bye-elections.

Union minister for petroleum, natural gas and steel Dharmendra Pradhan said that he has asked his counterparts in petroleum producing countries to increase their oil production so that Indian consumers get relief from soaring fuel prices. While he said that it is tough to predict when the prices will come down, prices of cooking gas, diesel and petrol may come down by March or April. Fuel prices have been on fire this month with oil companies raising petrol and diesel prices 16 times so far. The last upward revision of fuel prices was on Saturday.

Petroleum prices will come down as winter goes away, said Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on February 26. "Increase in petroleum price in international market has affected consumers too. Prices will come down a little as winter goes away. It's an international matter, price is high due to increase in demand, it happens in winter. Price will come down," said Union Minister Pradhan.
On increasing fuel prices in the country, Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan said that it has happened due to increase in prices of crude oil in international markets. Dharmendra Pradhan said, "Due to an increase in prices of crude oil in international markets, consumer price (for petrol and diesel) has risen. This will soften gradually. Global supply was reduced due to COVID in turn affecting production as well. Sonia ji must know Rajasthan and Maharashtra have maximum tax. Earnings of Centre and State government were negligible during lockdown. We have allocated large chunks to various sectors in Budget to increase jobs." He further said, "We are consistently requesting the GST council to include petroleum products under its purview as it will benefit people. But it is their call to take."
