Watch: DRDO successfully test-fires ATAGS Howitzer at Odisha’s Balasore

DRDO successfully test-fired its Advanced Tower Artillery Gun System Howitzer.

It tracked the target accurately and successfully at Odisha’s Balasore firing range.

It has the capability to strike targets at the longest range of 48 kilometers.

DRDO developed it with the private sector industry to promote Aatmanirbhar Bharat.

It has been produced by two firms Bharat Forge & Tata Advanced Systems Limited.

The ATAGS Howitzer has already fired over 2,000 rounds during the field trials in Sikkim and Pokhran.

DRDO assured that 200 Indian howitzers will be ready for induction in 18 months.
