People's Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) members met in JandK's Srinagar.
They met on December 24 to discuss the DDC election results.
While addressing the media, PAGD member and Peoples Conference president Sajad Lone said, "One fails to understand that when elections were conducted so peacefully, why do you need to detain people as they have detained in past?
Three terrorists were killed during an encounter with security forces in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir on May 6. The security forces launched a cordon and search operation in Kanigam area of the South Kashmir district during the night following information about the presence of terrorists. An official said as the presence of four newly recruited terrorists of Al-Badr outfit got ascertained, the security forces exercised maximum restraint and tried their best to persuade them to surrender. The terrorists turned down the offer to surrender and opened fire. However, one terrorist identified as Tausif Ahmad surrendered. Watch the full video for more.

The second wave of COVID has ravaged the country and the cases are continuously increasing in Jammu and Kashmir as well. Amid the devastation, DRDO in association with JandK administration started construction of 500-bedded COVID hospital in Budgam. All beds will be supported with supply of medical oxygen. There will be 125 fully-equipped ICU beds for COVID patients and 50-double room accommodation facility for doctors and paramedics staff. Locals appreciated this step of govt and extended full support towards it.

Terrorists on May 07 hurled a grenade at security forces in Nawa Bazaar area of Old Srinagar city. The grenade missed the intended target and exploded in the market. However, no injuries have been reported so far. More details are awaited.
After 37 deaths in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, the administration has decided to extend the lockdown in 5 districts. At Srinagar hospitals, 95% Covid-19 beds and ventilators are already occupied.
