India is looking forward to the early return of Indian fishermen, said External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar during India Sri Lanka joint press conference on January 06.

India is ready to enhance Sri Lanka's capabilities to meet the growing maritime and security challenges, Jaishankar further added.

"India- Sri Lanka joint working group on fisheries met recently where all outstanding issues were discussed.

We look forward to the early return of our fishermen.

We stand ready to enhance Sri Lanka's capabilities to meet growing maritime and security challenges," said EAM Jaishankar.
