US Capitol Chaos: 4 dead in mob-police clash; Trump urges supporters to go home

While, US President-Elect Joe Biden called on Trump to ‘defend the Constitution and demand an end to this siege’.
Meanwhile, social media giant Twitter locked Trump out of his account for 12 hours over posts accused of inflaming violence.
Twitter said future violations by Trump could result in a permanent suspension.
Facebook & Instagram also blocked Trump for 24 hours saying his messages prompted violence.

President-elect Joe Biden announced during a Friday speech that he has plans for FEMA. He said he will instruct the Federal Emergency Management Agency to build facilities for COVID-19 vaccines. These facilities will then distribute the vaccine to the American public, says Business Insider. Biden said his administration will build 100 federally-funded community vaccination centers. He plans to have this in motion by the end of his first month in office.
While detailing his plan to ramp up vaccinations against COVID-19, U.S. President-elect Joe Biden on Friday said it was "shocking" to see some Republican members of Congress not wearing masks to prevent the spread of the virus and told them it was "time to grow up."

"If they aided and abetted the crime, there may have to be actions taken beyond the Congress in terms of prosecution for that," Pelosi said during a news conference. Pelosi also pointed out one rioter captured on camera in a "Camp Auschwitz" sweatshirt, describing him as a "punk.
Union Minister of Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi slammed Congress over Rahul Gandhi and Priyank Gandhi's massive protest over farm laws. He did it because of Rahul Gandhi's political 'parpanch'. Congress workers on January 15 protested against Centre government as part of the party's nationwide agitation to express solidarity with the ongoing farmers' protest against the three new farm laws. The workers marched towards the Punjab Raj Bhawan for the gherao but were stopped by the police.
TMC MP from Birbhum Satabdi Roy said there was no question of her leaving the party. Roy's statement came after a two-hour meeting with TMC's youth wing president and West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee's nephew Abhishek Banerjee. Abhishek reached out to Roy as she voiced dissent against the leadership ahead of the assembly polls. Actor-turned-politician, Roy is a leading face in Mamata Banerjee's cultural brigade. Speculations started on Thursday over a post on Facebook page of Satabdi Roy fan club. Roy had claimed that she was not being informed about party events in her constituency. The 3-time MP had said she would inform the public on Saturday if she takes any 'decision'.

Doctor Jennifer Rohn has said the new South American coronavirus variant is a "concern", adding that the vaccine might be "slightly less effective" against the mutation. However, the virologist from University College London said the current coronavirus vaccines can be "tweaked really quickly" and that "within a matter of weeks or months we could replace the vaccine strain with a new one that recognises the mutation".
