Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut reached the Bandra police station on Jan 8 to record her statement in a case related to sedition and other charges.
Ranaut, who has been provided Y-plus category security of CRPF personnel, arrived at the police station in suburban Mumbai around 1 pm along with her advocate amid heavy media presence.
The Bandra police had registered an FIR against Ranaut and her sister Rangoli Chandel for allegedly promoting enmity between communities through their remarks in October.
The FIR was registered following orders from a magistrates court in Bandra.
A casting director and fitness trainer, had filed the complaint referring to tweets and other statements of Kangana and her sister.
Earlier, the Mumbai police had sent notices three times asking them to appear for recording their statements in the case.
The Bombay High Court in November had granted interim protection from arrest to Kangana and her sister, and directed them to appear before the police on January 8.
Kangana Ranaut has shared the before and after look of her parents Mumbai home, done by her. The actor's brother Aksht will be living in that house with his wife Ritu Sanghwan. Kangana took to Twitter and shared a video after she transformed the house with Ritu's help. Kangana gave the house an all new look with furniture in pastel and floral prints. The place also has a garden-themed balcony with a sitting area overlooking the city skyline. Kangana had first shared pictures of the rather simple-looking place before the makeover. Earlier, Kangana had shared a video to show how she was managing both work and home decor. Kangana has started work on her next, Tejas, in which she plays a Sikh soldier. The actor, meanwhile, has Thalaivi and Dhaakad in post-production stage. Kangana has also announced Manikarnika Returns: The Legend of Didda.

Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan on February 27 recorded his statement at the office of Crime Branch in Mumbai in connection with the 2016 complaint in fake email ID case involving Kangana Ranaut. He was summoned by Mumbai Police Crime Branch unit to record his statement regarding the case. Hrithik and Kangana also had a brawl on social media in 2016 when the latter termed Roshan as her "silly ex", following which she got a legal notice from him. Later, Hrithik filed a police complaint alleging someone was impersonating him and sent emails to Kangana between 2013 and 2014.
Hrithik Roshan visited Mumbai Police's Crime Branch office on Saturday to record statement. This is in connection with his 2016 complaint on fake emails in his name to Kangana Ranaut. The actor, who was summoned to appear at 11 am, left his residence in black tee and cap. Hrithik had been asked to visit the Crime Intelligence Unit (CIU) at commissioner's office. Hrithik's complaint alleged that someone was emailing Kangana from a bogus ID in his name. The complaint was followed by a spat between the two Bollywood actors. Hrithik had accused Kangana of harassing him by sending him hundreds of emails. After an initial probe, police concluded that the emails were sent from Kangana's ID. Police had recorded statement of Kangana who denied sending emails to Hrithik. In December last year, Hrithik's lawyer had approached Mumbai police commissioner. The probe was then transferred from Mumbai Police's Cyber Cell to Crime Branch's CIU. Hrithik and Kangana had worked together in Kites (2010) and then Krrish 3 (2013).

Vice Admiral R Hari Kumar took over as the Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Western Naval Command at Headquarters Command Post in Mumbai on February 28. He has succeeded Vice Admiral Ajit Kumar, who retires after a career spanning 40 years in the Indian Navy. Vice Admiral Kumar laid a wreath at the Gaurav Stambh monument in Mumbai. Vice Admiral also signed visitor's book at 'Gaurav Stambh' in Mumbai.
The Indian Air Force carried out a long range precision strike against a practice target to mark the second anniversary of the Balakot Operations. The strike was carried out by members of the same squadron who carried out the actual operations inside Pakistan in response to the Pulwama attack in which 40 CRPF personnel were killed. IAF Chief Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria also flew a multi aircraft sortie with the units to commemorate the occasion along with the squadron pilots. 'Balakot Air Strike', was the first aerial assault carried out by India in Pakistan after the 1971 Indo-Pak war. Balakot Air Strike was carried out as a reply to Pulwama attack that claimed lives of 40 CRPF officials. Second anniversary of the Balakot Operations was marked on February 26.
"Security cover provided to Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal remains unchanged," informed Delhi Police PRO Chinmoy Biswal after some news reports said that the security provided to Chief Minister has been scaled down. Delhi Police PRO said that there has been no reduction in the number of security personnel provided to the Chief Minister. Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal is under Z plus security by Delhi Police which comprises pilot, escort, close protection team, house guard, spotters, search and frisking staff etc in the form of 47 plainclothes security personnel and 16 uniformed CRPF personnel," he added.

Varavara Rao, the 81-year-old poet-activist who has been in jail for over two years in the Koregaon-Bhima case, was granted bail for six months by the Bombay High Court today on medical grounds. He is currently undergoing treatment at Mumbai's Nanavati Hospital where was admitted by the Maharashtra government following the high court's intervention. Rao has been asked by the court to remain in Mumbai and be available for investigation whenever needed.
