Congress lashed out at the BJP over the Hindu Mahasabha inaugurating a study centre dedicated to Mahatama Gandhi’s assassin Nathuram Godse.
The former Madhya Pradesh CM called on the BJP and Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan to clarify whether they backed the ideology of Mahatma Gandhi's killer.
He dared the MP government to put a stop to all such activities and take strict action against the culprit and added that failure to act would imply that the state government backs Godse’s ideology.
This comes after the Akhil Bharatiya Hindu Mahasabha opened a library dedicated to Gandhi’s assassin in Gwalior on Sunday.
A video of the event showed Hindu Mahasabha workers garlanding Godse and performing aarti at the event.

In a fresh twist to the Mukesh Ambani threat case, the owner of the car found abandoned outside the businessman's house was found dead. On February 25, a Scorpio laden with 2.5 kg explosives and a letter threatening Ambani and his family was found outside the Reliance Industries' chairman's Mumbai resident 'Antilia'. Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Bhupesh Baghel has inaugurated a statue of Mahatma Gandhi. The statue was inaugurated in Raipur on January 30. While addressing an event, CM Baghel said, "On this day, the beacon of peace was assassinated by Nathuram Godse. But the Mahatma continues to inspire us to this day."

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel also remembered Mahatma Gandhi as he paid tribute to him at the Congress office in Raipur. Similarly, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami along with state Governor Banwarilal Purohit paid obeisance to the man who played a major role in getting India free from British colonial rule in 1947. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also paid tribute to Bapu at the Gandhi Statue in Hazratganj. Mahatma Gandhi was assassinated by Nathuram Godse on 30 January 1948.

Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha has opened a study centre in Madhya Pradesh's Gwalior city on January 10. The study centre is dedicated to Nathuram Godse. This study centre will inform the young generation about aspects of partition of India and spread knowledge on various national leaders. Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi "guaranteed" not to implement CAA in Assam during a rally in Tezpur on March 02. Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired BJP’s central election committee meeting in Delhi. BJP’s CEC met to finalise party candidates ahead of elections. PM Modi, Home minister Amit Shah, Defence minister Rajnath Singh were present in the meeting. Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan was also seen in the meeting. The meeting was held at BJP headquarters in the national capital. This comes ahead of polls in Assam, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Puducherry. The biography of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose painted on a circular canvas in the courtyard of Shahid Smarak in Madhya Pradesh's Jabalpur. The event was organised by the National Museum of Modern Art to celebrate 125th birth anniversary of Netaji. Netaji's 125th birth anniversary was celebrated on January 23.
A minor girl was allegedly raped in Madhya Pradesh's Gwalior. Accused has been arrested in the heinous crime. While speaking to ANI, Gwalior SP, Amit Sanghi said, "The accused used to work in a shop of victim's father. After incident took place, victim ran to Datia where she came in contact with child protection agency and filed a zero FIR. Accused was arrested here."
Around 40 people fell ill after consuming food at public gathering in Madhya Pradesh's Gwalior. Out of these, four persons were shifted to hospital after their condition deteriorated.
