Congress councillor booked for thrashing tribal youth in Raipur
Kamran Ansari, a Congress councillor from Raipur, has been booked by police for allegedly abusing and beating a tribal youth in Raja Talab area of the Chhattisgarh capital on January 10.
Some of the associates of Ansari have also been named in the FIR which was registered by the victim's mother.
The legal action against Ansari and his associates was taken after a viral video purportedly showed the Congress councillor along with his aides thrashing the youth.
In his defence, Ansari said the youth was intoxicated and had come to his office with the intention of ransacking his office.
