Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister CN Ashwathnarayan condemned Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray 's reported comment regarding incorporating into the state the areas of Karnataka, where Marathi-speaking people are in majority. "These kinds of statements will create a lot of tension among people. He shouldn't make such statements, said CN Ashwathnarayan. He further added, "Congress, which is supporting Shiv Sena, should probably withdraw its support. This kind of party and the Chief Minister should not be supported. They should be shown their place."
Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa has lashed out at his Maharashtra counterpart Uddhav Thackeray over his comments on the border issue. The Karnataka CM said that these statements are only meant to create unnecessary problems and added that they would not give even an inch of land to Maharashtra.
