Congress workers on January 15 protested against Centre government as part of the party's nationwide agitation to express solidarity with the ongoing farmers' protest against the three new farm laws.
The workers marched towards the Punjab Raj Bhawan for the gherao but were stopped by the police.
After emerging victorious in Gujarat municipal corporation and zila panchayat elections, Union Minister Prakash Javadekar held a press conference on March 03. Stating number comparison between results of 2015 and 2021 elections, Javadekar said that Congress has been completely wiped off. "Last week in Gujarat MCD elections over 6 seats, and BJP emerged victorious on all seats. But the results that came out yesterday for over 31 district panchayat, which basically includes voters who belong to villages and are farmers. Last time in 2015, Congress won 22 district panchayat seats and BJP was at 9. But this time, BJP has won all 31 seats and Congress has been wiped out completely. BJP has won 80% seats out of 979," said Prakash Javadekar.
The Aam Aadmi Party has bagged four of five seats in the Municipal Corporation bye-elections including Kalyanpuri, Rohini-C, Shalimar Bagh (North), and Trilokpuri. Congress won the Chauhan Banger ward. Aam Aadmi Party workers have been celebrating the partyโs big win in the municipal bye-elections.

AAP won in Kalyanpuri, Rohini-C, Shalimar Bagh (North), and Trilokpuri. Congress on the other hand, won the Chauhan Banger ward.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi handed over a 'chaadar' to Minority Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on the 809th Urs of Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti. Urs is observed on the death anniversary of a Sufi saint. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also handed over a 'chaadar'. Gandhi was seen posing with 'chaadar' in Delhi before it was offered. Naqvi said, โThis is the seventh time that PM Modi sent 'chaadar' here. He also sent a message along with 'chaadar' and sent good wishes on the 809th Urs of Khwaja. PM Modi called the festival an example of communal harmony and said many faiths and traditions are heritage of India. PM Modi said that saints contributed to preserving heritage. Khwaja Moinuddin a symbol of our traditions and his messages of love, unity and service are inspiring. Several Congress workers were also detained by the police. The party is observing a 'Kisan Adhikar Divas' today and all state units have been asked to gherao all Raj Bhavans in states.
