The top State Department diplomatic security official in Afghanistan was removed from his role for declaring the “death of America” and making racist comments about Kamala Harris in a post on his Facebook page when President Donald Trump lost November’s presidential election, according to four sources familiar with the matter.
Senseless killing continues in Afghanistan as 3 women working for a local radio station and tv channel were shot dead by gun men in the eastern city of jalalabad on tuesday. Zalmai Latifi, director at Enikass TV, said the women were shot in 2 separate attacks as they were walking back home after leaving the station.

India provided COVID-19 vaccines to Saint Lucia on March 01. 'Made in India' vaccines was received by the Prime Minister Allen Chastanet of Saint Lucia. India provided 25,000 doses of coronavirus vaccine to the island nation Saint Lucia. The consignment of coronavirus vaccine reached under India's 'Vaccine Maitri' initiative. The 40,000 doses of 'Made in India' coronavirus vaccines also arrived in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. It was received by Prime Minister Ralph Gonsalves on March 01. They received Serum Institute of India (SII)'s Covishield doses today. Earlier, India supplied COVID-19 vaccines to neighbouring countries Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Bangladesh under the 'Neighbourhood First' policy.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani held summit-level talks. The event took place via video conferencing on February 09. While addressing at the event, PM Modi said, "Both India and Afghanistan want to see the region free of terrorism." On signing of MoU on construction of Shahtoot dam, the PM added, "We are happy that Shahtoot Dam will provide drinking water facility to Kabul and also be used for irrigation purpose."

In December 2020, a historic Hindu temple in Karak was attacked and set on fire. India also raised a terrorist attack at Sikh gurudwaras in Kabul in March 2020. At the UNSC meet on Columbia, India appreciated the remarkable progress in the peace building process. It applauded the efforts of the people and Govt. of Columbia in realizing the achievements of the last 4 years. India gave suggestions for implementing the peace agreement. India also participated at the UNSC meeting on the Central African Republic (CAR). lt condemned constant violence in the landlocked country in Central Africa. In CAR, the immediate and pressing priority is early restoration of peace and stability. At the UNSC meeting on Syria, India showed concern over deteriorating security situation. Hostilities in Syria other than the Northwest part, have continued unabated. Ambassador Tirumurti calls on the international community to provide immediate assistance alleviate humanitarian sufferings, rebuilding infrastructure and safeguarding livelihoods in Syria.
